I only gave this two stars because of my exasperation with the choices made by the protagonist. I remain a fan of Thomas Moran, however. One thing (of many) that amazes me about his work is his convincing ability to make his fictional work seem auto-biographical, regardless of the setting or character. When I readThe World I Made for Her , I believed Moran had once been a police detective. When I readWater, Carry Me , I was certain he was Irish. When I readWhat Harry Saw , I wondered how he turned into an Australian.I wonder what an Australian thinks about this book.
