I think this book was basically reinforcing what a lot of people already know: Write because you love it, not because you feel forced to write. Write when you feel like it. A person usually does his or her best work when the conditions are just right. Don't force it because it doesn't yield quality work. Accept the good with the bad. Don't let it get to you. Some of this is just common sense that a lot of people need to hear and re-hear as they navigate their way through the jungle world of publishing.

Very helpful There is a lot of good advice from the authors in this book. I've been focusing on my ideas and the story I want to write. Things like editing, cover design and promotions hadn't yet crossed my mind. I'm really glad I read this book. I think it will give me a better chance of getting my book out to people.

Authors On WritingHere are 36 interviews with authors about writing. They discuss work habits, favorite authors that influenced their work and their feelings about e-books versus physical works. Very insightful for those working toward being published authors.
