a billionaire s game Reviews
this wasnt bad.. it had spice.. it had intrigue. it had fun.. and it made me smile so all of that put together i enjoyed it and am glad i got to review it
Jill is a "free spirited" character & I liked her. I didn't agree with all of her actions but the things you do when you love someone is hard to explain. Drake is a player in every sense of the word, kind of the black sheep in the family but he gets a serious wake-up call. I like how the author intertwines these two stories. I honestly didn't connect with this one as well I did with Landen & Thea, mainly because of Drake didn't win my trust as a character, I did feel sorry for him though. His wake-up call was more drastic than I expect for this genre, that's was surprising. All that being said, I really like the series and can't wait to hear more about the Ellsworth family & read how Westin story will continue the series.Review copy was provided by Candid Book Reviews for my honest review.
This is my first time reading a book by this author. She's really good but you can tell she's a new writer. The story line is great. We have Drake a known womanizer and all around bad boy who falls for the goody girl Jill. He has a secret and she's found out what it is. He lost all his money and is in deep trouble. The story is a bit weak. I would have added a bit more punch to it. The dialogue is a bit stiff too. It doesn't flow like someone is talking. It reads a bit robotic. That's all I'd change. In all it was a good read!!
I received an ARC of this book. This is the second book in this series and I'm glad I was asked to read it. Nice continuation of the Ellsworth family sons. Drake carelessness ends up harming several people. Thank goodness Jill got to know Drake before his problems caught up with him, or I'm sure they'd not be friends, or more!!! I hope I'm asked to read the third in the series. I enjoyed this, and so will you! Thanks Cece for asking for advanced readers!
Dialog is stilted and story doesn't flow wellThis is the second book in the series that I have read and it's not much better than the first one. There are a lot of errors (words missing, tense changes, and more) There was one point I was so confused I read the same passage three times and it never made sense. Keep trying, and get a better editor, the one you use sucks.
An enjoyable book. I loved how you get to see different sides of the characters

A Billionaire's GameCece Baker A fast paced second chance romance that will have you skating off into the sunset. This is set in the world of the Ellsworth. I can't wait for more.Drake is rugged as he is handsome but definitely a playboy. He spends all his cash as fast as he gets it. His whole family hates him...well except for his mom. So going to the golden boy's wedding (his oldest brother Landen) is a drag. He wants nothing to with it. So getting drunk is his way of staying out of it. Then he spots his next target for another notch in his belt. She's crazy beautiful, smart, and doesn't take no crap from him. Something he is not use too. Drake Ellsworth always gets his man or in this case woman. But did he bite off more than he can chew with this one?
Billionaire's Game was a great continuation of The Ellsworth Brothers series. I love the writing style and the romantic stories in this book. This is definitely a feel good book with an unlikely ending. I love the passion and heartbreak that makes this series feel real. Another great thing about this series, they flow together, but you can also read one in the series without the others. They stand perfectly by themselves. I highly recommend reading this book. Drake is a bad boy to the core. He can get whatever he wants, fame, money, women, but when she comes along he knows he has a challenge ahead of him. When his family cuts him off because he blew through his money, he gets himself into some risky business. Jill isn't impressed by Drake and his money, however she has to put up with him and make sure he doesn't mess up her best friend's wedding. When she sees that there is more than meets the eye to this money spending bad boy, she is intrigued. With a career of trying to help families save money and make ends meet, these two are an unlikely match, but perhaps she can save him before he gets himself in too deep.
