the bargainer Reviews
A story of adventure like no other.I had some doubts at first before diving into this story, I haven’t read much of dragon-type story and so there’s where my dread comes from. I’m not familiar with dragon-type conversations mostly and dragon-type humor, I had a hard time delving deeper into its meaning. But I had an alpha dragon BBF that changes into human, and so I gave this one a try.Ash and FireDanielle is loyal, fierce, witty, and full of love. The unknown is no hindrance for her to try an adventure that most cringe about to save her sister, even though she herself has her self-doubts and fear of the dragons. (view spoiler)[ I also love her dragon self. Fierce, very fierce.(hide spoiler)] I admire the lengths that she have to go through to prepare herself for the journey she have task herself.I find the story a beautiful journey because it was slow paced and not overwhelming. There are fights of claws and fire, as was expected but minimal, just right for the story itself. It was more of a battle of magic and wit, that it make it not taxing or overwhelming to read. The twists and plot in the story is unpredictable that makes it good because all you have to do is get along with the ride and enjoy the journey of reading. And what I like most is that I understand, more or less, the way a dragon thinks. The connection of Danielle and Ko is not instant. It was a slow build, like getting to know the intricacies of the thing. And it made me smile because I think it was cute. The blushing male dragon. And I think, the ending was perfect. Everything at least have worked out. It was not like the end where you know everything will be okay, but an end that you know even if something bad happens somehow, everything will work out just fine.***I received a copy from the author in exchanged for an honest review.R2R in Books N' Music["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. When I first started the book I wondered why they were so scared to even speak of the people that had been taken. Probably fear, maybe something else. I really liked how it started off; I feel like it set the rest of the story up well. To me it was a combination of action, adventure (the big part), and romance. I'm glad their "relationship" didn't come in until the very end, but you could still get a feel for it. Her mother, however, I felt like had some problems. My thoughts were basically like "You dont even care your own daughter got taken you power thirsty monster?!" Despite her problems I feel like her personality still fit in well with the rest of the book. I think at the end she managed to sort herself out mainly. I would've liked to rate it 4 and a half stars, but Goodreads only has full stars (along with everything else). "Kathy would have wanted it that way." They say all good things must come to an end, and indeed they do, seeing as this book was one of them. The cover says Book 1, so maybe there will be a sequel (and the adventure shall continue!)
2.5 stars rounded to 3.I was looking forwards to enjoying the book, but the further I read, the more confusing and chaotic everything was becoming. This might have been because I unfortunately got quite bored with the story half way through and wasn't paying as much attention as I should have, but there were so many plot twists that didn't make much sense. And I still don't understand the kitten part. What was so special about a kitten?! Why!? And then there was the problem of characters not acting like they should have under the circumstances. It didn't feel very realistic. Several cliche moments. I noticed quite a number of spelling mistakes as well.BUT it wasn't that bad. I got a little bored but it wasn't unbearable to finish the book. I don't hate the book which is why I won't give it a 2 stars or less.
WowI read this due to review saying it ends good with dragons. Well they are correct. Hope book 2 comes out. I want more female dragon with male dragon or human and no human to human. I want to see more dragon flying and other dragon stuff that good not bad. She was such a beautiful dragon. Hopefully she realized she can trust dragons. They were just misguided. Maybe have dragon rider type book series to. Female dragon no shape shifter that falls in love with male human that her rider and they become mates but are unable to give offspring or really mate due to he prob be squished or torn. Or maybe they can idk. Still plenty of things they can do to show there love like kissing or other stuff. Hope book 2 comes soon.
