I love Seven fucking James! I was already a fan after Hers, but after reading Seven's Diary, she is one of my favorite female book characters. We get into Sevens head and her past in this novella. So much is explained and cleared up. We finally get to understand why she is the way she is and was. This novella had such a great flow and was amazingly written. I went through a wide arrange of emotions and parts had me shedding some tears. Seven never had it easy getting to the top and something tells me she still has many more battles in front of her. I can't wait for His to see where the author is going to take us next, I am a huge fan of Dawn Robertson and she is one of my must one-click immediately authors. If you've read Hers you need to read Seven's Diary immediately and if you haven't read it what are you waiting for!!

Okay so I love Seven James. This short story is short...like you want more short, but never fear because Seven is coming back quickly in His. This fills in some of the back story. I loved knowing these little tidbits of one of my favorite leading ladies. I will read anything with Seven in it...really.

Check out this review and others atwww.Twinsietalk.comwww.facebook.com/[email protected] received this book from the author to beta read while writing.I must begin with this statement........I missed the hell outta Seven James....errr Seven James Parker...sorry Levi. I didn't realize how much until I read this diary of her's. I mean the girl is amazeballs!!! I met Seven when I did a blog tour for Dawn when Her's was released and fell in LUST with her. I mean she IS Seven James.......before the Parker!!So if you have been hiding under a rock and have no clue who Seven James Parker is...you need to find out. Stop reading this and go to download Hers. Read through the series and then READ this. This book gets you into the head of Seven. She is a mess due to her FABULOUS upbringing....did you pick up on the sarcasm??? If you DO KNOW who she is, you will love this really quick glimpse into the woman we love and fear in the same breath. i mean come on, she is scary and hot at the same time..... This book lets you see how Seven became the Domme she is today. It lets you see that she did in fact have a heart before Levi but was to afraid to open it. It lets you see the life of her and her bestie/lover Star. The book lets you see Seven at her best and worst before Levi.I just love this series and love this author. I can't wait for His to be release so I can see what is up with my favorite couple after allll the drama from This Girl Stripped!!

I received an ARC for an honest review. Dammit Dawn, you nearly made me cry, again.Dawn knows I love Seven! Love her to pieces and it was interesting to see some of the things that helped shape who she is before we met her in Hers. The diary is sweet, not erotic as you might expect, and fulfilling. You see a bit of Seven that she tries to hide in so much of the rest of the series. The side of her that is as human as the rest of the world. She addressed a bit more about her relationship with her best friend Star, none of it surprising, and finally talked about how she gained fame in the corporate world. Her rise to power was not hugely surprising, after all, she gets what she wants and works hard for it. It was her relationship with a man named James that shocked me and made me cry. I wanted more, still want more, of their tale but as another reviewer has said "Then I remembered Levi."If you have not read this series I recommend doing so, right now. :) Hers, Finding Willow, Kink the Halls, This Girl Stripped, His (coming this summer) and Seven's Diary (prequel to Hers, releasing June 9). You ABSOLUTELY MUST read Hers BEFORE Seven's Diary as the diary contains spoilers!

I was given this book for my honest review. This book is [email protected]' Awesome! Its a Novella about Seven's life before and leading up to when we met her in the "Hers Series". We get to see more of the no holds barred, take no prisoners, I got you by the balls, Seven James that I came to love in "Hers". Its a Great Book and I couldn't wait to tell everyone just how great it really is.Its Seven's Story before we knew her and it answers some of the questions that I had about her. You get to find out just how Seven became who she is ,how and why she became a Dominant, how she was able to climb the corporate ladder and what makes her tick. We get to see more of the no holds barred, take no prisoners, I got you by the balls, Seven James that I came to love in "Hers".Trust me when I say that you don't want to miss out on this book when it comes out!

Received ARC in exchange for an honest review. As Dawn knows, I love Seven. Like hugely love. So I was super excited when I found out that she was writing another story about Seven.Reading Hers, you find out some things about Seven, but not enough. Of course as a reader, I am never satisfied and always want more. Especially from Dawn. This little novella gets you once again into the mind of Seven James and explains questions that people had while reading Hers.I really love finding out how Seven got to the top of the corporate chain. Her relationship with James was a little surprising but it explained a lot. I love him and wanted more but then I remembered Levi. Can't forget him. I know when I finished reading this, all of my questions were answered and I am now even more anxious for His. That story is going to be a doozy and this novella is a perfect way to satisfy my Seven craving until then. Great job Dawn and I can't wait for His!!

Are you ready to know the whole story of Seven Fuckin James... Get ready to kneel to the Mistress. I know we all wondered how she became. How she became the mistress we read about in Hers. What made her choose the lifestyle she has. The rules she's made for herself and the people she comes in contact with. Get ready to read her inner thought of her journey from Seven to Marilyn to powerhouse CEO.And the regret she will forever live with.Thank you Dawn for giving us this little piece of Seven, letting us get to know her even better. I felt for her in this novella, I laughed at certain things and fanned myself off. James, wow, who couldn't fall for him. Reading about the person who made her who she is, helps us understand her more. Understand her rules. She's a kick ass bitch and has been from the beginning, she just needed to breakout of her confines.

I was lucky / fortunate enough to recieve an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. WOW!!!!! I love Seven F'Kin James!!!!!!! Best mistress ever other than my own!!!! This short diary offers a unique insight into her life that only Seven herself can share. I cried over Master Robert aka James. I hope everything works out with Levi and Seven, they deserve it. Everyone has a past.

So many questions answered about Seven James in this book. If you have not read Her it is must so you will know how great this is. I love how raw Dawn Robertson writes Seven. I think I might have even cried a little reading this. Seven's Diary give us a great inside to how Seven became strong and what hurt and loneliness she has been through.

Dawn Robertson is simply amazing Her writing is flawless and I would swear she is rubbing off on Seven just a tad or Sevens rubbed off on her Its like they are one mind You actually feel like when reading Seven's Diary that a real Seven wrote her story Not a story an author write I swear Seven felt very real to me and she actually took out one and paper and wrote. I'm not sure I'm explaining what I'm feeling right but hope it makes sense as to how real this novella felt. Steven's Diary is exactly that. Like you snuck into her room and are reading her diary she left beside the bed before going to rock the corporate world. Your in her head. You'll laugh and cry. Yes I cried and wanted to give Seven a big ole hug. Like she'd ever in this life let that happen! You learn how she got where she is. How she learned to dominate in ever sense of the word. You learn more about her friendship with Star. We already knew her life as a child was a life no child should endure and the diary mentions it a little but is mainly from college graduation on. I sure don't want to give anything away so I'll say Read it. You'll love it. But, if you haven't read Hers go get it and read it first I love this series and am looking forward with giddy excitement for His. I received an arc copy of this book for my honest opinion and review. I am honored to have been given this opportunity. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves strong kick butt female characters Its a wild ride through the entire series and so worth every second of it. Hurry up His. I miss Seven and Levi and can't wait to be in their heads lives and hearts. again

Ok let me just say that if you have not read Hers, you must read it before reading Seven’s Diary.I did not think it was possible to love the character of Seven James any more than I already did. I was first introduced to Seven in Hers. She is a badass chick that doesn’t take shit from anybody. I was really excited when I heard Dawn was writing Seven’s Diary to give us all a glimpse into what makes Seven tick, as well and some of her history, climbing the corporate ladder and subsequently meeting Levi. I have to tell you I was not disappointed. In Seven’s Diary you get to see a different side of her as she is integrating into the Dom world. Her relationship with Master Robert was beautiful and heartbreaking. In this Novella you get to see how Seven became the strong woman that we all met in Hers. I won’t go into detail because I don’t want to spoil anything. But just know that it is a well written, amazing story that is full of emotion. This is a short Novella and I found myself definitely wanting more. But I really love this character and don’t think I can get enough of her. I am definitely going to recommend this book (along with the rest of the Hers series) to all my friends.

If you've followed along with my reviews, you'll see that I've read the entire Hers series by Dawn Robertson. Seven's Diary is a novella that gives us a glimpse at what or who made Seven the person she is today. Why is she so driven? Why was she so closed off before Levi? You get the answers here.Silent tears, yep. They took me by surprise. I was doing great with the book, and then just tears. Crap. All I've been reading lately are books that make me cry. But, I digress. Seven's Diary is the perfect bridge between the previous books in the Hers series to the upcoming release of His.It was great being able to see the events that lead to Mistress Marilyn and that Seven made some mistakes before we met her. I hate that she had to endure so much pain, but I'm glad that Dawn Robertson gave us this novella because I think that even more people will grow to love this character. This is a quick read and will have you wanting more Seven. Just warning you now, you will get knots in your stomach and you will have sweet, silent tears.

Seven's Diary, is short but it sure packs a punch for a novella. We finally see a bigger glimpse into Seven's past, into the battles she's already fought and even a hint at the ones she's yet to face. I thought I was already a Seven fan but after this I'm crushing hard!Seven's tenacity, strength, resilience kept me spellbound, she's got me enamoured, she's got a past, she's got scars that run more than skin deep, she's flawed, at times even fragile, and therein lies her beauty, she has come from a childhood and past that she could use as an excuse and yet she's fought her demon's and darkness to find her way into the light. Dawn Robertson, sometimes your words shock me, sometimes I'm left crying in the corner wondering how someone can go through so much and keep going, sometimes I'm left angry, but everything you write gives me the feels, EVERYTHING...you give me a visceral reaction everytime and really that's why I read, to feel something so Thank You, for writing the story you want to tell.

Seven’s Diary: A Novella (Hers)By: Dawn Robertson4/5 starsI didn’t even know that this novella was being written or anything! I just happened to run across it, and since I have read the entire series, I just had to read this one as well.We know a lot about Seven James from the rest of the series (Hers, Finding Willow, Kink the Halls and This Girl Stripped), and knowing that His (Levi’s story) was next in line, I wasn’t totally sure what all this “diary” would be about. I admit that I just one-clicked and didn’t read the blurb… still haven’t!This book is about how Seven James became the ball-buster that we all know and love today. And wow, I’m really impressed with the back story with James White and how she became a Domme and the CEO of a worldwide company. And that story did not disappoint. It even brought some tears. In the diary, Seven told us to pay special attention to the timeline of events, because that will really come in handy when we read His. So listen up! I’m even more excited for His to be released and of course, River’s story!

If you have read any of the books in the Hers Series by Dawn Robertson, you will not be surprised by the awesomeness of Seven’s Diary. Seven’s Diary is a short novella that gives us a little more insight into the woman who has become Seven James. This novella is only 17,125 words, but the words that Dawn uses to describe Seven’s journey, are excellent. I felt every detail that Dawn wanted to create for Seven and I have a new respect for her character. If you have read the Hers Series, this is a must read and if you haven’t read the series, make sure you do. You won’t be disappointed.Hers Series – reading order:• Hers (Hers #1)• Finding Willow (Hers #2)• Kink the Halls (Hers #3)• This Girl Stripped (Hers #4)• Seven’s Diary (A Novella)• His (Hers #5)Reviewed by Tonya Nichols @ Eye Candy Bookstore

I love Dawn Robertson and all her books, especially the Hers series. This novella, Seven’s Diary, is a quick read. It took me about an hour and a half to finish. In this book, we get an inside look at Seven James. We get to see why she is the way she is, how she built her corporate empire, and the most unlikely mentor. I loved this novella. It was a short read, but I was hooked! I loved getting an inside look at Seven. I felt as if I could feel Seven coming through this book as I read. I could feel her emotions. I believe this is probably Dawn’s best book so far. I loved getting to read the story of James and Seven. I don’t want to say anymore than that, because I don’t want to give anything away. But I wasn’t expecting their relationship at all. Five stars for Dawn Robertson! I think this is the best book of hers that I’ve read so far. I really, really enjoyed it.

We (Kayla & Kristy) were both very excited when we heard Dawn Robertson was writing Seven’s Diary and even more excited to receive an ARC. We both loved the Her's Series and Seven is one of our all time favourite female heroines. Seven's Diary gives us an insight in to how she became the powerful women in business she is today as well as the sort after mistress. She has never had an easy life but the kindness/kinkiness of another puts her on the path to her future. She learns how to take the corporate world by the balls and be the ball busting bitch we know and love. "For once, another person in my life had changed me into a better person. It wasn't a pretty women story. It wasn't a prince charming story. It was the Seven Fuckin'James story."This was a great little novella to fill time before we get our hands on His.

Wow....I can't say enough about Seven James. This book allowed us a glimpse into Seven' s life and why she is who she is. You can say that her families history isn't all rainbows and butterflies....she had a life filled with hippie parents who believed in "free love" and lived a very nomadic lifestyle. Seven is an extremely alpha female who lives life by her very own set of rules and when she sees what she wants, she goes right after it and is not afraid of taking prisoners as she conquers her next challenge. If, by any chance you haven't read any of Dawn's books, you really are missing out. Take my advice and jump on it...you won't regret it. Besides, you get more Seven and her kink and get to know others in her life, especially the one and only Levi Parker.

Really?! What a way to add story line! I mean, c'mon, her relationship with James White definitely should have been mentioned in "Hers", even if she didn't go into any detail of it. There was no story behind Seven James, so this books just makes one up. I have to say, I loved the relationship between Seven and James, it's just there's no way she wouldn't have said something about him in the first book, but I think the story wasn't expected to go this long, so she had to quick make stuff up. The first book was all sex, and this one finally gives back-story, even if it's all weird the way she does it. Do I sound confusing? Ha! That's because it all is, if it wasn't all so damn simple, it would be complicated and confusing.

Seven James is a bad ass. In the 'Her's' series, that's all you know of Seven. This novella really went into her head and her emotions. It answers a lot of questions about why she is the way she is both in the boardroom and the bedroom. Based on the rest of the 'Her's' series, I was expecting mainly erotica but was pleasantly surprised at how sweet and emotional the book is without being a love story. As a reader, I'm always wanting more and never wanting the book to end, so be prepared for a short novella but that only makes me more excited for 'His' to come out! Anyone that has read Her's needs to read Seven's Diary!!

Shannon’s ReviewThis was a great back story on Seven James. I loved being able to see how Seven got in the business position she currently has. It also lets you see how she came into the swinger club and with whom. Seven as we know has a softer side to herself as we have seen in previous books. Her diary is no different. I suggest you read Hers before attempting to read her diary because it may confuse you a bit. I am giving this book 4.5 hearts. I know I haven’t said a lot of the story but if I did you wouldn’t read it then. This is a very short book but worth the read.

If you have read the Hers Series and you LOVE Seven you need to read this. I loved curling inside of Seven's head, finding out what makes her the way she is. There is way more to Seven that meets the eye! I already have the biggest girl crush on Seven, and this just made it worse. This must be read after Hers to understand it!!"Don't hold my past against me. Don't hurt me more than I have already been hurt. I can't break again. Understand that there are reasons for the person I have become today, and they all focus around one person." ~ Seven James

I love Seven James! Seven's Diary is short and anything but sweet! A glimpse into life as Seven and how she got to where she is now. It may not have always been easy but it's her story. Before Seven met Levi there was James White. The man who taught her everything she knows and brought out the character that we met in Hers.I must say that I love Dawn Robertson, love the characters in this series and can't wait for His to come out! http://teahoneysbookcafe.blogspot.com/

Dawn Robertson has done it again. I swear she's freaking amazing. I honest love everything she writes. I personally stalk her goodread's and facebook & her blog. Too see if she has other books in the works, what can I say she's my favorite author. She can write a sex scene like their is no tomorrow. But finally we get too see why Seven is so heartbroken. why she loves the way she does. How she became Mistress Marilyn. I finally have closure.

First off, thank you Dawn Robertson for letting us inside Seven James's head. This is a must read in the Hers series. Seven is one of my most favorite characters, who wouldn't want to be her! The peek into her mind helps you see how she became the person she is in Hers, and really gets you pumped for His! Dawn's sexy humorous writing style really keeps you entertained throughout Sevens Diary, looking forward to reading Levis Diary and His!
