Susannah Scott’s second book continues the saga of a group of dragon shifters who own and operate the opulent Crown Jewel Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Dragon Lieutenant, Leo Ryan is every woman’s dream man and casino hostess, Tee has been dreaming about the two of them together for quite some time. But Leo keeps sending Tee mixed signals. Like a long, intense kiss followed by a warning from Leo that they can never be together. The problem is, although Tee doesn’t know it, that Leo is a shape-shifting dragon in need of a mate to restore his waning dragon form to full vigor. Tee doesn’t wear his mark, the mark that would signify that Tee is his true mate. If Leo and Tee choose to be together without a mate's mark, Leo dragon will not survive.Tee is a Paiute Native American who has chosen to live off-reservation in order to earn enough money to improve the reservation's school. Her father is Chief of the tribe. His more traditional views are being challenged by more progressive tribe members. There is growing disagreement between the two factions that could prove dangerous for Tee. Leo vows to protect her. This book is as satisfying as the first book, "The Luck of the Dragon". The characters are well-developed. Leo and Tee are engaging. Old secrets test them, enemies plot to destroy them, but they stand strong. The love scenes are believable (and steamy). They are placed thoughtfully within the story line, not just thrown in to draw your attention away from the lack of story line. The plot moves along well and holds the reader's interest. I was never tempted to skip to the end to escape tedious story telling. This book is a winner. I hope you try it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review. I read Susannah's first book, Luck of the Dragon, on a whim as I was in between books. Dragons are not my normal genera, I am a lover of vampires, but I finished it in one night and was hooked instantly. ( I HIGHLY recommend you read that one!!) I've been waiting for this second book since I finished the first one. I find with new authors I am both extremely excited and scared for book number two. Will it hold up to book number one? Well the answer my friends is, YES! Although this book is second in the series it can be read as a stand alone. Which I love about any series. I am not a fan of a book that end on a cliff hanger and you are essentially manipulated into buying the next to find out what happens. This one follows Leo, a shape shifting- Dragon and Tee, non-Dragon. I am not great about giving a synopsis with out giving away spoilers, so this is what you can expect this this book: You have Leo, Oh Leo, he stole my heart. Torn between doing the right thing and what his heart wants. Then you have Tee, a strong, independent woman of Native American descent. She was written beautifully. The Native American heritage was a large part of this book and was written so tastefully. Overall I loved the story line, it dived into the life and way of the Dragon community and culture that Susannah is creating. It is unique and interesting. The story was funny, refreshing and had some great plot twist. Also, this book has some super sexy, HOT, tasteful love scenes! That right there should be enough to read this book, the rest is just a bonus :) I really enjoyed this book, I think you will too! I again will be waiting, not so patiently, for the next installment of this series.

This is the second entry in Susannah Scott's series regarding dragons living in Vegas. I mean, who doesn't love shapeshifting dragons! I read the first entry, Luck of the Dragon, and really enjoyed the book. So I was anxious to read this second installment. I must say, the second book is as good, if not better, than the first! BTW, you do not need to read the first book to enjoy the second. Stop Dragon My Heart Around can be a standalone. But having read the first book made SDMHA that much better. SDMHA continues with the rich world building that Ms. Scott began in Luck of the Dragon. Ms. Scott really researched the Las Vegas environs and brought that realism to her book. But on to the story. Leo and Tee. How refreshing to have a Native American heroine headlining a story! Ms. Scott delves into the Native American culture which made for an interesting read. Tee is a Native American (Paiute) and human. She has the hots for her boss, Leo, but doesn't know he's a dragon. He has admired her from afar but needs a dragon mate so he doesn't lose his dragon form. Their camping trip in the desert was so good. Of course, there is a nefarious scheme afoot and danger to Tee. I read this in one setting because I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this series to everyone who enjoys a hot love story. I'm eagerly anticipating Book 3 so I can continue my acquaintance with characters I'm rapidly falling in love with.

Leo that boy is sure having some naughty fantasies about Tee, "he'd run his hand up the back of her long legs, under her skirt. Then he'd cup her amazing a** a kiss the skin at her neck, inhaling he essence." The boy sure likes to pick fights over the stupidest crap, "Leo leaned close, so their noses were inches apart. "Of course I like it. Every red-blooded man this side of the grave likes it. That's why you shouldn't wear it." And he's a pretty jealous boy, "she slipped her hand into the crook of the man's arm. Her action hit him with the force of a gut punch. He would kill the man. Now. The man who'd dared touched her. His beast pulsed under his skin for blood, making him shudder." I mean the boy is pretty possessive as well, "an accountant husband? I just told you I love you. You told me you love me. There'll be no accountant husband. There'll only be me." He grabbed her arms. "Say it. Only me." I didn't realize this was a series until I started seeing some familiar characters like Alec and Lucy then I did some search and found out I had read the first book and loved it, I also loved this one, I'm really into dragon shifters right now and well this got my panties going.

The newest addition to Susannah Scott's Dragonshifter series lived up to my hopes; it is every bit as good as Luck of the Dragon and continues the backstory of the dragons themselves. Once again, Ms. Scott manages to make the story of human woman falls in love with shifter fresh and new with her well drawn characters and strong writing. This second tale of Las Vegas dragons tells the story of Tess, a Paiute casino hostess and her sexy boss Leo, who just happens to be a dragon. I confess that I have never been a fan of Vegas, but just like the first story, I was so charmed by the characters that the setting just gives me a fit of the giggles. After all, where could dragons hide best in the modern world? That's right--in the home of glitter and illusion! Bottom line is that I can't wait for another installment. I did receive a gift copy in exchange for an honest review, but honestly I will buy a copy and I will buy the next one. Write fast Ms. Scott!

This was a gift from the author as part of the street team.I read the first book in the series and was anxious to read the second. It was awesome! Of course you do not have to read the first one but after you read this one I bet you will want too! Tee takes care of the high rollers at Leo's casino. Some of them are just down right funny with their requests like ironed underwear and fake double weddings. She is the best at her job and loves it. But she wants Leo. And after "the kiss" he keeps running from her. But she has a plan to put him out of her system once and for all.Leo wants Tee just as bad but wont give in. He is a shape shifting dragon looking for his mate. Without his mate he will loose his dragon form. He comes to the realization that he wants her even more than being a dragon. But will she be able to forgive him for the secret he knows about her?Their journey is full of laughs and danger. Try it out and enjoy the ride.

Susannah Scott has done it again! She has once again produced an enthralling tale about a dragon shifter.Although I admit that this book wasn't as good as the first one but it came pretty close. It had everything a book should have;humor, action,a snarky heroine and a sexy hero ;)I loved Tee and Leo almost as much as I love Alec and Lucy, which is saying a lot. Some new characters are also introduced who seem quite interesting and I hope to read more about them in further books. The only problem I have with the book is that I felt that there wasn't really anything unique about the storyline unlike the first book, but I still recommend this book as it is a fun read.(I recieved this book as an ARC for an honest review)

I loved this book. This is the second book in Susannah Scott's dragon shifter series. It was as good as the first book, Luck of the Dragon, which I also rated 5 stars. Each book is a complete novel with a HEA. The attraction is intense and the love deep. The characters are so real you feel like you know them and want to be part of their lives too. But for me romance is not enough, there has to be some plot/storyline that makes the book worth reading. And there is. I won't spoil it for you, but the angst behind the characters getting together makes this a page turner. And, the shenanigans going on at the Native American reservation that Tee grew up on make you want to shout out "oh no you don't." Read it, you will love it.

In this second installment in Susannah Scott's Dragon Shifters series, readers are once again whisked away to Las Vegas and the Crown Jewel Casino. This time, we follow Tee, a Native American casino hostess, as she lusts after her boss, Leo.The conflict is established right away: Tee wants Leo, and Leo wants Tee, but he needs to find his dragon mate to save his waning dragon form. He can't waste time with a human, no matter how sexy she is or how much he wants her. I was rooting for this seemingly-doomed relationship from the start. I loved watching Leo try to resist Tee and lose. LOL. The sub-plot was interesting and well-woven, and the romance was steamy and enticing. 4.5 stars.

Stop Dragon My Heart Around is the perfect blend of sizzling romance, yummy dragon shifters, danger and intrigue. This is Susannah Scott’s second book featuring a group of dragon shifters who own and operate the opulent Crown Jewel Hotel and Casino on the ritzy Las Vegas strip. The characters will find their way into your heart. Our hero, dragon lieutenant Leonidas “Leo” Ryan, is every woman’s dream. He’s Australian and often mistaken for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor character. Leo utterly stole my heart. I want him! Leo fights his attraction to Tee because if he followed his heart and chose to be with Tee without his mate’s mark, Leo’s dragon would not survive. I loved watching Leo try to resist Tee.Our heroine, Tallulah “Tee” Alameda, is a Native American from the Paiute Tribe. Tee works as a high-roller host for the Crown Jewel. As a host, Tee caters to her gambler clients and competes with other hosts for bonuses. The competition is brutal. Tee lives off the reservation but devotes most of her earnings towards increasing the educational opportunities on the reservation where her father is the Chief. Tee dreams of being with Leo but he sends her mixed signals. One minute he’s passionately kissing her, cupping her buttocks or fondling her leg under her skirt and the next, he’s nowhere to be found. I laughed out loud when Tee fancied asking him: “Are ya glad to see me, or is that a roll of poker chips in your pants?” When Tee said she “has a plan” to break through Leo’s defenses, memories of the A-Team came to my mind. Hannibal used to refer to their plan at the conclusion of many an A-Team TV show when he would say: “I love it when a plan comes together.” My premonition said that Leo was in deep trouble. One of my favorite scenes involved Tee’s reaction when she found out that dragons were in charge of the casino: “The dragons live in the casino? Tee’s eyes widened and alarm coursed through her. My God, it’s like the Rocky Horror Picture Show.”It was obvious that the author diligently researched the Las Vegas environs and brought that realism to her book. The heroine’s Native American heritage figured prominently in the story as the plot delved into tribal traditions, what constitutes a tribe, the socioeconomic difficulties faced by the tribes, and the dichotomy between tribal traditions and progress. Before I read this book, I thought that a whale was a large marine mammal. Now I know that a whale is also another term for a high roller in the casino industry. These whales receive lavish “comps” from the casinos to lure them onto the gambling floors. Salaries of employees often contain incentive arrangements to bring in high rollers. Hosts compete for and steal clients from other hosts and strive to lure whales away from other casinos enticing them with “comps.” Wow!Stop Dragon My Heart Around can be read as a standalone but I suggest reading the 1st book first. Luck of the Dragon was the author’s debut novel and a very enjoyable read. Many of the characters make appearances in both books. Reading them in order would enhance your enjoyment of both books.Bottomline: The author’s writing is top-notch. The word building and character development are first rate. The love scenes are super sexy but tasteful. If you are looking for a fun romance with smokin’ hot chemistry and a happy ever after that will leave your face sore from smiling, then look no further than Stop Dragon My Heart Around.-Reviewed by Linda Townsend

This is the second book in this series featuring dragons loud and proud in Las Vegas. They live in plain sight but no one notices as hey it's Vegas and everything is fantastical, right? Using a casino as their base the dragons have managed to carve a comfortable life for themselves but their race is in danger of dying out. Every dragon needs to find their mate or else lose their powers forever.Tee is a Native American woman who also happens to be pretty awesome at her job! She's a casino hostess and her job is simply to be the best enabler in town! Keeping the clients sweet and entertained and help them spend money is the name of the game and it's a game that Tee plays to win. If there's a fly in the ointment then it's a very big one and his name is Leo. Leo is the one man who Tees body cries out for but he just won't seem to act on their mutual attraction . Tees beyond frustrated and about to take matters into her own hands but what she doesn't realise is Leo is a shape shifting dragon and life's about to get very complicated .Hey romance and sexy dragons now there's a winning combination. Add intelligent , likeable characters to the mix and more than a bit of sass and this humorous story is bound to appeal to lovers of paranormal romance. I loved Tee and her pride in her heritage truly resonated with me. Leo is a guy who has to make hard decisions and fate really seemed to be laughing at him in this story. My only niggle is that I didn't really feel the shifter element of this story as much as I'd have liked and it felt a little short. It's great fun to read though full of laughs and there's even some bad guys to boo and hiss at ! If you fancy a shifter book about modern dragons then this could well be the perfect read for you.

This is book two in this lovely dragon shifter series... but can easily be read as a stand alone! Even though I really liked book one, I do believe that book two is my personal favorite. It's not hard to explain why... Leo, our dragon love interest was a walking twin of my favorite hottie... Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Because I had the image of him in my head through the whole book, well... smiles and happiness... all the way! :)Book one centered around a female jewel thief and in book two the author takes us down a completely different route by using Tee and her native American heritage as the focus. I really liked this plot... and I loved Tee and her dedication to helping out the children on the reservation. The one thing I do like about this series is the idea of dragons finding a clever way to mask themselves in the center of Las Vegas! Anything goes in Las Vegas... and it's a fun setting to play around with. The male dragons are always on the hunt for their true mates. If they do not find their mate, then they lose their ability to shift to dragon form and eventually die. Even if they find their mate, she has to accept the mate bond of her own free will. So, the dragons have to be on their best behavior! Tee and Leo were a great match... they had amazing chemistry together both as lovers and friends. It was easy to root for their HEA. This is a shorter book than most at around 200 pages... so, a nice choice if you're looking for something you can start and finish in a day. I am a fan of this series and will definitely be on board for book three which I think will involve a Russian Ice Dragon... hhhmmmm... that could be fun! :) Thanks to the author for the complimentary ARC!

I happened to start this book and get several chapters in before I realized it was book 2. I decided to keep on reading and now I'm back tracking to the first one. I have to say that I LOVE this series. I really liked the dynamic between Leo and Tee. Outwardly Tee is a strong independent woman, but underneath, like the rest of us, she has her insecurities. I really enjoyed her not being perfect. Not having read the first one, I could tell there where things I missed, but I don't think overall it impacted the story. If you like dragons, I would recommend this series.

Stop Dragon My Heart Around--What do you get when Thor is a shape-shifting dragon? Fiery hot pages of romance with the leading man leaving his mark on his mate and your heart! Forget about throwing water on the flames, because things will just get steamier between Leo and Tee! Love Scott's world building and mixture of cultures. A great, fast read filled with the passion of two people destined to be together.

This is the second book in the series and it doesn't disappoint. If you like romance, dragons or off the chart chemistry this book is for you. That Leo would give up everything for her shows how much he loved her. The way Susannah describes things it makes them so easy to see, hear and smell. I loved everything about this book! I can't wait to read more in this series. Read this series you won't be disappointed.

I enjoyed this second story about the Dragons that live rather openly in Las Vegas (people see what they expect to see). This one brings up the question of what will you do for the one you love - even if it means stepping away from who you are currently. It also deals with what it means to be a part of a community and what determines who makes up the community.

This is the first time in reading this author and it was such a savory treat with a overload of pleasure while reading. In this genre I love reading all aspects of different worlds authors can take me the reader to with wonderful characters of different but I have a soft spot for dragons which this one hit. They are so fierce with the intensity they carry that this one carried me away also. In Vegas it is 24/7 so what better place for dragons to be while being quite successful also. This author has the talent to catch you into her world right away with Leo and Tee dancing around each other both wanting each other but running away once again from the attraction. Tee works at the casino Leo is in charge of while Alec the King of the Dragons is away on honeymoon. It is a well established safe haven for them. Not many humans know they are there if front of their noses except for Tee's father who also happens to be the chief of their tribe. She does not live on reservation but with two friends saving for her own house plus also wanting to be able to give back to the schools on reservation. With the intriguing beginning and foundation whisked away needing to know if these two can get past what is in front of their own noses or what with drama to help them along their path. Tee is up against a not so nice piece of work co-worker for a prize that would help her reach her goal plus life changing drama broiling on the reservation. When there is no denying each other any longer they work together after a heart stopping revelation by Leo to Tee to try and help her father. Events that are woven in this novel keep your fingers glued to the pages only allowing you to move them to turn them. There is also the romance in bedded in here that is so perfect with the right amount of heat that only a fire dragon can give. By the time you reach the end of this journey you are overjoyed but also disappointed because it ended already because it is that enjoyable of a read. As I understand it though this is the second one in this by this author and not the last-happy dance there. Received a arc for a honest review.

Susannah Scott has given us another fantastic story in this second book in the Las Vegas Dragons series. This is a very enjoyable read about dragons running casinos in Vegas right under the noses of humans without being detected. I highly recommend this series if you like a good paranormal romance. This book can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the series so you can meet all of the characters in this series. Tee is the favorite hostess in the Crown Jewel Casino. She takes care of every request from her high rollers personally, and most of them will only go to her when then are visiting the casino. She has work hard to secretly support her Paiute Tribe with the money for their school, and soon her dreams will come true when she gives them the biggest donation she ever has. She has also decided to finally go after Leo, the one man she has loved for years but never been with. Leo needs to find his mate as soon as possible to keep his dragon form. He has strong feelings for Tee, but he knows she is not his true mate. He does not want to hurt her, but she does not have his mark that will prove she is his mate. When Tee’s life is threatened while visiting her tribe, Leo does whatever is necessary to protect her. The sexual tension builds while he is keeping her safe, but is it enough to make him give up his dragon to spend his life loving her? I received a copy of this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

It was great to be immersed back into Vegas with the resident shifter Dragons and their humans! The basis of the story is essentially the same as the first book, Luck of the Dragon, but involves Alec’s second in command, Leo, and his attempt to revive his dying dragon form by finding and securing his destined mate. This is not to mean the plot is boring in anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the first and was glad when I realised the fundamentals of the second were very similar. Add to the fact that Leo’s love interest is a totally different ball game, as are the troubles that arise, and you’ve got yourself another brilliant paranormal read from Susannah Scott. The tension between the two ‘mates’ is electric, while Tee’s heartbreak over Leo’s apparent lack of interest proved to be a real interest holder for me. You know he wants her, needs her, but is too afraid of the consequences initially, and all you want to do is knock their heads together and tell them that love conquers all!I adored the ending scene, as it was nice to have an old character pop up, and, if I am not mistaken, the foundations of a third book are firmly laid . . .? I certainly hope so, by Charlotte Foreman on behalf of

This is the second book in this series and just as good as the first if not better. I love shifter books but never considered dragons as a species I would like to read about but the author has changed my limited mind. In this second book Tee (an Indian) works in a white mans casino as a hostess. Her attraction to Leo has been with her since the day he offered her a job at his casino which is run and owned by ........yes, dragons. All male dragons must find their mates or they will low their dragons and then die. Leo's dragon is beginning to wane and he must find his mate but he also has a strong attraction to Tee. Now that you know the outline of this book you'll just have to read their story. It's so much more than dragon meets girl. There is a wonderfully written secondary story surrounding Tee and the Rev. And if you haven't read the first book in this series it is not necessary but it gives you Alec and Lucy's story which is mentioned slightly here. Pick up a copy upon release and settle in for a fantastic ride.

Tee is the most successful casino hostess in Las Vegas, but that hasn't given her the happiness she wants. She feels frustrated. She is in love with her boss, Leonidas Ryan. Does he feel the same? Why is he sending her mixed signals. Leo wants Tee forever. Can he tell her that he is a dragon shifter? Susannah Scott has created amazing characters in Tee and Leo. Their heated sexual tension sets the stage for this smartly written story. It's a great combination of romance and mystery. Leo is a perfect hero with his potent mix of passion and tenderness. Tee is a strong, caring woman who won't give up on love. What we have is an entertaining battle of wills that kept me riveted. The bright lights of Las Vegas and the sandstone cliffs of the desert are a perfect backdrop for their passionate romance. The dialogue is great and the action is non-stop with some surprising twists and turns. Stop Dragon My Heart Around is a keeper.

This takes place in the same world as Luck of the Dragon but can be read stand alone. What happens in Vegas… doesn’t hold true if you live and work there. Leo loves Tee and she loves him but he is her boss and unbeknownst to her a dragon shifter. He is torn between wanting Tee and waiting to find his dragon mate. So they have this push me pull you relationship until Tee’s world is turned upside down and Leo introduces her to his dragon. Action, adventure, mystery and a whole lot of Vegas silliness. There is a great supporting cast and I hope to read their stories soon.I received a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review.

I loved the book. I cried and I got angry. I love when a story jerks my emotions out of me. That being said, there were parts of the story which seem rushed or not completely played out. Do not get me wrong, overall I loved this story. I just wished it was a little longer so the few scenes I didn't think were finished could have been filled in.

When I finished the first book in the Las Vegas Dragons series, Luck of the Dragon, I was already anxious to read Leo and Tee's story. Stop Dragon My Heart Around definitely did not disappoint. In fact, I think I might even like book two better than book one.For one thing, it definitely doesn't hurt that Leo is described as looking like Thor. You know. THOR.“It’s that hotty superhero with the hammer.” The brunette still pointed at Leo. Her mouth hung open to show a brass tongue piercing.“Thor,” the blonde beside her whispered and smacked her gum again. “I bet he has a big ole hammer too.”Beside her, Leo smiled and shrugged, like he had some superhero secret he couldn’t share. Ridiculous.“This is not Thor,” Tee said with an uncomfortable laugh. Next to the diminutive young women, she felt gawky. She straightened her stooping shoulders and stretched to her full height. Then, she gave the two a smile she hoped conveyed patient helpfulness.“Tell them you’re not Thor,” Tee said.“Good day, ladies.” Leo poured on his Australian accent and the two shrieked like schoolgirls. “I’m actually Leonidas Ryan, head of Casino Operations, but people often say I look like that actor.” He looked at her in question.“Chris Hemsworth,” Tee said with an eye roll. “You’re nothing like him.”“Yes, he is,” Trixie said, staring at Leo like a carb-dieter drooling over a loaded pizza. “Those eyes, those shoulders. That accent. I bet you have a six pack too.” She smiled at him and twirled her blonde hair around her finger.“I guess that makes me the God of Thunder.” Leo patted his flat stomach and winked. “With a vee-rry large hammer.”Mmmmmm. Sorry. I was distracted by thoughts of his biceps. And his...hammer.Back to the review...Stop and Luck are similar in that they both feature male dragons who are in danger of losing their dragon forms if they don't find a mate...and it becomes apparent that those chosen mates just might be--oh, the horror!--human. Unlike Alec and Lucy, Leo and Tee already have a very strong attraction to each other before their book begins. They shared a steamy kiss backstage at the casino, a kiss neither one can get out of their heads. The page practically bursts into flames every time the two of them are together--in fact, Leo's begun looking for his dragon mark on Tee every time he sees her, hoping against hope. Tee, who has no idea what he's doing, notices that he appears to have an odd fixation with staring at her hands and wonders at it.Each time he looks, though--nothing.Leo even begins to contemplate giving up his dragon form for Tee. His mate may never show up, after all, and his attraction for the beautiful casino hostess is getting to be too much to deny. Can he give it up? Should he?Tee's got her own problems, however. At the same time she finally decides to launch "Operation Leo" (because, gosh darn it, it's time he stops dragging her heart around and they do something about their explosive chemistry!) she runs into a heated conflict with another casino employee. To complicate things even further, tensions are running high between the older and newer generations back at the Paiute reservation where her father is chief. Will this "thing" with Leo help solve her problems, or add to them? And what the heck will she do when she learns the truth of who Leo is and finds out that she's been living surrounded by dragons and didn't know it?Yeah, I'm not going to tell you. You'll have to read it for yourself. It's okay. You'll thank me.Stop sets up the next book in the series nicely--fellow casino employee Jane is next in line to find her dragon mate.Poor Darius, however, apparently will still be waiting for Mei to stop her slow torture of him and accept the reality of their mating. For the third book in a row.Cruel, Susannah Scott, cruel. ;)Rating: 4 stars / B+I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Entangled Publishing for providing me with a copy of this in exchange for an honest reviewFind this review and more on my blog The Rest Is Still Unwritten!Stop Dragon My Heart Around by Susannah Scott is fun and tantalizing PNR that weaves together romance and sensuality in this dragon-shifter read that is quite fun! As the second book in Susannah Scott’s series set in Las Vegas and featuring dragon shifters, Stop Dragon My Heart Around was a really fun and enjoyable read. The title may have been cheesy, but Stop Dragon My Heart Around is a well written and excellently paced story. The characters were likable and have a fantastic chemistry and I’m already ready to read the next installment.I will admit, heading into this book I wasn’t actually aware that it was a second book in a series, but having said that, I think this can easily be read as a standalone novel. Stop Dragon My Heart Around really does stand on it’s own merit, and Scott does a good job explaining her world for those who might not have previously experienced it.Featuring a bunch of Dragon Shifters who own and operate the extravagant and lush Crown Jewel Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, I’m already a big fan of Scott’s characters. The main characters in this book were wonderful to read about and had all the connection and chemistry I could ask for, but the minor characters also stood on their own and already have me eager to read their stories.Told through the eyes of casino operator and fire dragon Leo Ryan and casino hostess to high rollers and Native American firecracker, Tallulah "Tee", Stop Dragon My Heart Around focuses on Leo’s perusal of Tee, the human employee he is strongly attracted too, but who he knows he shouldn’t want because she isn’t his fated dragon mate and the woman who has secretly loved him for years. When the fate of Tee’s tribe is threatened, events lead Leo and Tee to finally give in to the sizzling connection that simmers between them and soon their relationship shines.Leo and Tee were wonderful to read about. Their relationship was built on years of friendship that simmered with attraction and sees the two give into the desire they share for one another. Leo was strong and sexy and really a good guy. He was fierce and daring and deeply cared for Tee. Tee on the other hand was stubborn, sweet and finally went after what she wanted. Basically, I just really liked these two and together they were excellent.Susannah Scott introduces us to a bunch of different characters in this series and perfectly explores Tee’s Paiute Native American heritage amongst the story. I was impressed with how she wove the big lights of a Las Vegas casino in with the Las Vegas desert and Tee’s people; it was a really great setting that complimented the characters well.High in romance and featuring a very charismatic set of characters, Stop Dragon My Heart Around is a fantastic PNR that will leave you wanting to dive right back into this riveting world!

Susannah's Dragons just keep getting hotter and the stories taking us to new heights. Tallulah Alameda, or Tee to all her friends, is the best at what she does as a casino hostess at the amazing Crown Jewel casino in Las Vegas. She is a woman of detail, precision, able to grant her high rollers their every desire, within in reason of course, but the one thing she isn’t able to do is capture the heart of her gorgeous and very sexy boss, Leonidas Ryan. Even when she and her friends concoct Operation Leo and she throws herself at him in the hotel elevator, she is ready to do something she never does – give up.Leo has a problem. Besides the fact that he’s in charge of operations while his boss is away on his honeymoon, besides the fact that his employees are competing for a huge bonus and high rollers are planning fake weddings, he’s trying desperately to stay clear of his gorgeous and oh, so desirable favorite hostess, Tee Alameda. Leo’s dragon wants her but she’s not his mate so no matter how much he wants the human woman who makes his dragon roar, he can’t hurt Tee that way. He knows his dragon form will soon begin to fade, but can he give it up for the love of a human? But when he discovers she could be his mate after all, will Tee still want him once she learns the truth – that he and many of her friends are actually dragons? After reading LUCK OF THE DRAGON by Susannah Scott, I didn’t think she could top the amazing delight of dragons, their mysterious life, their relationship to gems, and their shifting and flying. I’ve always loved dragons and so Susannah’s dragons are an instant draw for me, but what she does with their stories, their hearts, and their falling in love is beyond good, it’s great. STOP DRAGON MY HEART AROUND by Susannah Scott is different, delightful, deliciously sexy, and Leo and Tee are a couple to cheer on from the start. Their banter, their arguments, their teasing, and their connection is unique, intriguing, and so satisfying when Tee finally comes around to giving herself over to her heart, instead of her fears. Each has their fears, their secrets, their mysteries, and their desire. All of which pull them together in an undeniable love that will soar as high as Leo’s dragon can take them.I highly recommend STOP DRAGON MY HEART AROUND by Susannah Scott to anyone who loves romance for romance sake. Even if you’re not into shape shifting heroes, try this one on for size, you just might surprise yourself and find that you’re as eager to see the dragons fly as I am. I can’t wait for more dragons from Susannah – Mei is going to have to give in to Darius sooner, or later, right? That's a whole other story. ***eARC provided by author in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.

Lucky Leprechaun underwear ironed? Check.Gold plated hearing aids? Check.Pink doggy booties, times four? Check.Tee is Vegas's favorite casino hostess, ready to grant her high rollers their every quirky wish. But when her own wish to financially help her Paiute Tribe finally comes true, she decides to double-down with lady luck and go for a hot hook-up with her sexy boss, Leo. Unfortunately, Tees about to find out why their romance is such a long shot—Leo is a shape-shifting dragon.Leo needs a proper dragon mate to save his waning dragon form, and despite their magnetic sexual attraction, he knows Tee is anything but proper—or a dragon. But when threats arise from Tee's tribe, Leos protective instincts kick in. Can he give up his dragon form for the woman he loves—even if it means shortening his life? Or has Tee finally had enough of having her heart dragged around?Review:Poor Tee, everyone is keeping secrets from her. In this second book about the dragons who own the Crown Jewel Casino. In this installment we get to view the romance between Tee and Leo. Now, this is the second book, but they are stand alone books, though we do get to read about those we meet in the first book and we get to see Lucy and Alec again near the end of this story.Tee has been in major lust for Leo since she meet him and has decided to wage Operation Leo, to get Leo on the same program once and for all. Leo is being super stubborn about his feelings and wants to find a dragon mate to carry on his line and because Tee does not have the mate mark on her hand he has a big decision to make. Once Leo decides to give into his feelings and finds out some happy news.Meanwhile, Tee's father is the chief of the Paiute tribe and there are big internal struggles going on there, which because of her father's secret puts Tee right in the middle of the conflict.I love the premise of these stories and really enjoy Ms. Scott's writing style. The story is both entertaining and engaging. Tee is great, not only is she Native American (which you do not see often enough) but she is real. Like, when she finds out Leo and others are dragons, she is scared, mad and hurt, which are all things most of us would feel in a similar situation. Leo is a big ol' hunky Australian dragon, with a sexy accent, but he is also conflicted over family duties and following his heart. For those who want more than romance there is is plenty of action and conflict in this story too.Another great story! I cannot wait to see what happens with the Dragons!4.5 Stars

Posted on What I'm ReadingAlmost a year ago Susannah brought us her first dragon-shifter in Luck of the Dragon and I was impress with the story. We finally get Stop Dragon My Heart Around which is book two in her series. I thought I like dragon-shifters before, but I think I'm in love with them. Actually, I think I'm in love with Leo. There were a few things that made me love Leo, but when he tells Tee"My dragon is a part of me. If I lost my dragon form, it would be like a part of me died." Leo scooted to the exit of the tent and then looked back at her. "I had already decided I give up my form for you, before I knew you were my mate. If that's the only way we can be together, I'll do it."I seriously melted for Leo. I wanted to cry, because that's the sweetest thing a guy to say to a girl. Anyway, Stop Dragon My Heart Around actually had more going on than the book blurb mention. Yes, most of the story has Leo trying to figure out if he wants to find his mate or going after Tee and giving up the dragon. We also have Tee needing to come to terms to some secrets that are reveal about her family and how she will handle them. Plus, there's conflict within the tribe that could effect her status in the tribe. Honestly, Leo won me over, by his willingness to do anything for Tee. Seriously, love that guy. I mean he has to shoulder a lot of responsibility with keeping the peace all around him. Tee, I have to say handled her situation well and I was glad she was willing accept the things that can't be change. Yes, I did love Stop Dragon My Heart Around and I believe it's better than the first book. I can't wait to see what happens with the next set of dragons. I did like the fact that Susannah gave hint on who the next couple will be at the end. So, if you are looking for a dragon-shifter, you might consider Stop Dragon My Heart Around. By the way, the story can be read as a stand alone, because the story focuses more on Leo, Tee and the Paiute Tribe. Copy provided by author
