She awakens in a strange place, having been nursed back to health by two strangers whose enormous size, exotic technology, and odd habits indicate that they are not of this world. After a thorough, embarrassing examination, Skylar is informed that her rescuers have found extensive manuals on caring for human females—manuals that sound suspiciously similar to her favorite erotic fiction. She is told that from now on she will to refer to them as “Daddy” and “Papa” and that she will be expected to behave well and follow their instructions. Skylar soon discovers that disobedience will result in a bright-red bare bottom and that a sound spanking is not the only way to punish a naughty girl. When she is good, though, her handsome guardians can pleasure her in ways which never before entered her wildest fantasies. Will she remain defiant and continue plotting her escape or can she learn to embrace a life far happier than anything she has known before? Seriously, who doesn't enjoy some hot alien sex with guys who are huge and specially endowed? There's something fun about reading books like this and I had a good time with some of it. I even stayed up a little late to finish it up. The writing style was okay; sometimes a bit weird as the author mentioned herself multiple times. I found the names hard to keep straight. Both alien men are T names and I got them confused all the time. Sometimes you have no idea which person is talking, but if you sort of merge both aliens together like they're conjoined twins, it all works out fine. There were a couple alien women with L names and I didn't even try to keep them straight. The names threw me for a loop, but didn't interfere with parts of the book I enjoyed.But... (and it's a big one) there was a lot of spanking in this book. And by a lot, I mean bruises and welts on an almost daily basis. There was also a number of anal punishments. I'm not into pain, so I found those parts of the book over the top and distasteful.Any sex these characters have is completely consensual, which I thought was good and somewhat strange considering all the pain and punishment. The spanking and everything was kept almost completely separate from the sex. Anytime sexual contact happened, Skylar was the instigator or a completely happy participant and there was no punishment related to her sexuality. There was age-play, humiliation, spankings, punishment, forced nudity, etc. that happened separate from the sex, but none of those kinks were obviously enjoyable to Skylar. There were a couple mentions that she “secretly” liked them, but I felt they were so separate from sexual gratification, the story veered too far into the bad sadism for my taste. As much as the pain disturbed me, even more gag-inducing was the motivation behind the punishments. Maybe it's a universally acknowledged feature of BDSM/spankings, but from the outside these guys were reenacting a certain fundamentalist child training manual that is well known to be abusive. And Skylar's reactions to her “training” were exactly what this manual says you should expect. Having been around that style of training often enough while growing up - no, just no.This woman was saved by the aliens after having been repeatedly raped and beaten by her ex boyfriend/drug dealer. She is given no choice in any of her actions; from what she wears, to what she eats, to how she can spend her day. Any deviation is met with more beatings and punishments. And yet eventually she comes to see that they really have her best interests at heart and she'll do a better job trying to be a good, responsible, compliant person. It could have been just a fun, zany book, but when it veered so far into pain and non-consensual “training”, I felt dirty, soiled, and really squicked out by the time I finished it. It might be your cup of tea, but it wasn't mine.**This review is archived on my blog: The Theory of Lieto Fine

Started well but then the story and characters lost any real affection they had and the punishment element was massively overdone. Just came across as cruel.

2.5 STARSLove/Hate this bookI both loved and hated this story. The planet and surroundings were so vividly described it was as if I was actually there. I could see the rich colors of the landscape, see the moons and the sun, feel all of the different textures. The culture and physical aspects of the Calipians was fully developed and interesting.I hated that the men seemed to have no real concern for her emotional happiness. They did not take into consideration just how out of her element she was and did not offer the comfort she needed many times. Even with Effy they kept brushing her off and not taking her seriously. How can they expect her to trust them when she is flat out telling them what is going on and they do nothing about it?

I feel the need to add a disclaimer to my rating. This book was bad. Seriously bad. I'll be generous and give technical writing a mediocre rating. There was no real plot to speak of. The story was ridiculous as was the sex. But I found that ridiculousness amusing... entertaining even. The alien heroes are supposed to be 7'10" but they seemed to be much taller than that by the end. Or maybe or fearless heroine shrank. The aliens have two penises, no scrotum, they defecate through their feet and their navels can suck and produce lubricant. I about lost it when Skylar stuck her nipple in one of their belly-buttons for some foreplay. Oh, and the writer takes a moment to pimp her books in the middle. This is not a good book. If you want a great read, this isn't it. If you're looking for WTFery, enjoy.

From the beginning I was unable to connect with the main character, Skylar. I'm not exactly sure what was missing in her personality, maybe it was that there wasn't much personality there to begin with. She is made up of whining and selfish behavior. I have to show sympathy for the whining as Trelac and Troy were hell bent on taking her with them and disciplining her whether she wanted it or not. There were definitely some dub-con aspects here, especially at the beginning. The poor girl was spanked almost daily which put me off. It wasn't just the spanking, but the fact that yet again, she had done something thoughtless that needed discipline. This is not going in my favorite book pile, but I do remain a fan of Ms Hayse.

I found this story to be a lot of fun to read. I noticed some reviews complained about the characters being "over the top" but I think that's part of the reason I loved this story. Maybe it's all those Star Trek reruns I watched in the 70's but I found the accidental interaction and the potential impact to be reminiscent of those episodes. And goodness I can just imagine what some alien would be trying to come up with if they used the books on my Nook to come up with an idea of how to care for me.

Sci fi romance. Two stars because bhe author gave a solid try to develop the sci fi world which is where the two stars came from. Also kudos to the author for choosing to have her heroine be a recovering drug addict. The aliens were a little to lovey dovey for me. Not to mention the multiple sex organs. I never like it when there are extras and weird anatomy. This one was pretty heavy on the sex which was just so so. The plot mostly revolved around the sex too. So taken all together just the two stars.

The aliens, Troy & Tralec were interesting. Skylar started out that way but, quickly became bratty. (One of my pet peeves.) The read to me was simply... meh. I choose to give it 2 stars because I just believe this may not be a genre I really enjoy, having tried several books and not finding any that appeal. So I felt giving it 1 star may be too harsh when it may be more my dislike rather than the story itself.

I highly recommend you read this story!the main reason I gave this book a five. was the while written characters. I had so many emotions reading this book. plus lots of questions. But by the end most all of them are answered. if you like spanking stories, you'll love this one. I read more of Breanna Hayse books. and never been disappointed. great author.

I had to stop reading this. I got a little over halfway through and I wasn't even sure why I was reading it anymore. I didn't have any problems with the writing style, the characters, or even the set up. I just couldn't finish it. Just not for me.

This was completely different to what I expected. I didn't realise that it would all be around age-play, which isn't my thing.

too much spanking, less love show, so it seems like they LOVE to torture her. Lack romanticism also. Boring
