Wow. Damn near skimmed that whole thing but I know exactly what went on. *sighs* Im gonna try to make sense with this. Olivia lives next door to a boy Nathan for the first 9 years of their life. They are BFF's. Nathans dad gets a job transfer and the family moves. Olivia and Nathan talk on the phone quite a bit. ** stop here** I have a 10 year old daughter. You can bet your ass she isn't having this type of relationship with a boy** Shortly after, the phone calls stop coming, and every time she calls, Nathan isn't home. Eventually, they have lost touch.A new family moves next door, and guess what!! She gets a new BFF, Brynn. Life is good.9 years later, both girls are at college. Brynn likes to party, met a boy who lives in a house with his BFF, a guy they call Wolfe. And weirdly enough, Wolfe is MIA through most of the book. See where this is headed? Ya, I did too. Brynn is dating a guy who is BFF with Nathan, aka Wolfe. Once Nathan sees Olivia, she's excited but he's hostile. Like really hostile. Going so far as to tell her he cant stand her and she needs to leave college or else he will make her life miserable. This whole hate story was way OTT and was too dramatic. You know how Olivia handles his hate? She's likeSo she acts like she doesn't care that her best friend/other half growing up HATES her. It causes a rift between Brynn and her man. there's bickering and tension. The dialogue throughout the book sounded very valley girl to me, and for christs sake I live in southern Cali and we do not talk like that! As I said, I mostly skimmed this book. For two kids being separated at fucking 9 years old, the reason Nathan hates her is so fucking stupid. 9 years old people, keep that in mind. He was such a dick, but then was so obvious he liked her.Something really tragic happens and VOILA! They learn the truth of how they lost touch, all is good. The end.

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I am just going to put it out there- this book made me cry big old crocodile tears. You know the books that get under your skin and don’t let go. This was one of those for me. Just to warn you , you will need tissues during parts of this book. I really enjoyed every word in this read from the childhood friendship between Liv and Nate (insert crying fit when they are forced to separate) to Brynn, Liv’s college roommate. I loved the friendship that develops between the two. The pacing of the story was fantastic and I was kept on edge during this entire page turner. Oh and did I mention that BAM! out of nowhere the author throws in a twist. Holy cow! I know that you all want to hear about the heat factor. Trust me when I say that there is plenty of scorching, thigh clenching, lip biting action. Never Say Goodbye is one book that you aren’t going to want to put down until it is finished. I can’t wait to read more from this author.4.5 out of 5

Never Saying GoodbyeBy: T.R. Fike This is the story of Olivia. She has been blessed with having that one best friend that everyone yearns for. Yet, she seems to never be able to hold onto them. From birth to age nine she and Nathan were inseparable. They did everything together. Play dolls, play in the dirt hey they even were each others first kiss. Until one day Nathan moves away and she never sees or speaks to him again. Then, she meets Brinn who is incredible. I honestly felt that I connected more with Brinn then I did with Olivia during the entire story lol. She is great, wild and such a spitfire. Olivia and Brinn go away to college where Brinn finds the perfect boyfriend Chad. Yes, like I said T.R. Fike truly writes this couple to where you are aboslutley in love with them. Brinn truly just wants to find a guy for Olivia and really thinks that she found a hottie for her and who is it you ask? Oh, its no other than Nathan Wolffe. Her best friend from her childhood. Shocked that she actually is looking at Nathan she says Hi. Oh, there was no warm welcome in return. This had me in knots. There were moments that I truly wanted to throw my kindle because Olivia just took all the negative comments. She would leave and cry and I could not stand that. Yet, there is a moment that she finally approaches him and sets him straight which I cheered lol.  This story is really enjoyable. I honestly didn't expect the story to take the direction it did and I was actually a little shocked and sad. Other than that it had it all...hot sex scenes, love, friendship, and oh there is also knots in your stomach drama. This again was such a enjoyable read that I say add it to your TBR list and one click it today. ~Tracie

Title: Never Say Goodbye Author: T Renee FikePublisher: T Renee FikePublished: 1-20-2014ISBN-13: 9781494853716E-Book ASIN: B00HY1LHJGPages: 316Genre: Contemporary RomanceSensual Level: ExplicitOverall Rating: Fantastic top rating + 1Nathan and Olivia was best friends when they were just children. Only three days difference in their ages they were closer than sibling.forever They did everything together including sharing their first kiss. They vowed to best friends Then life intervened when they were nine and Nathan and his family moved away from Pennsylvania to Michigan and each lived for the days they would talk on the phone. Then the calls were farther and farther apart until they stopped all together. Each began to move on with their lives.A new family moved into the house next to Liv and she eventually had a new best friend named Brynn. As close as sisters they shared their deepest secrets and when the time came they went off to college together. Always keeping each other's backs through break ups and joys they would be best friends forever. This is the story of friendship, love, loss and picking up the pieces of a broken life and heart. As I read this story I laughed and at one point I had to put it down because I was crying so hard. My mistake was starting the story at 4 in the morning; by the tie I finished it was after seven. Even with my crying jag I could not walk away fro this book. The characters are so well developed. Including the two jerks in Liv's life. Well really only one jerk and one typical male on a testosterone high and full of himself. Truth be told that pretty much describes both of them. The friendship between Nathan and Liv will remind you of the bonds you formed when you were

I started reading this book and was instantly grabbed by the loved and kinship between Olivia and Brynn. Yes at first I was attached to the best friends relationship. The friends turned sisters was beautiful and loving. I began to realize that romance novels aren't only about lust. Don't worry this book has plenty of it. Liv has had her heart broken one time to many, but her friend Brynn has always had her back. Her first love nad best friend had left leaving her lonely and broken. Brynn filled that void. I loved it. It is pure and made me feel warm in my soul. I couldn't stop reading. Now let's talk about the lust shall we?? Yes this book has heat... HOT SMOLDERING NAUGHTY RAUNCHY HEAT!! You know things you would expect from a college relationships. I wont ruin it but believe me when I say that you will not be disappointed with the level of sexual romance in this book. Renee knows how to hold her audience! As I am reading along and loving the way the story is progressing Renee throws in a twist that literally kills me! Yes, she brought me to tears like a little girl! It made such an impression that I had to take a BREATHER! After I was done bawling like a little girl that lost her teddy, I finished reading the story. What can I say? I fell in love with a story that not only gave me a lustful read but showed me that romance is not only for romantic reasons but a romance of kinship can soothe the soul and make this a beautifully complete full circle kind of story. So now for the rating.... I give this book 9 stars! Any book that can bring me joy, smoking hot guys, tears and soulful love is totally worth 9 stars!

Our 4 Star ReviewAs a kid Olivia was best friends with Nathan, but when he moves away when they were 9 she is devastated. Luckily for her the girls that moves into Nathan's old house, the very outgoing Brynn, becomes her new best friend, and as they grow up they go off to college together. Everything is different when your away from home and as she gets into the grove of college life and being part of a sorority Brynn falls in love. While Liv is happily enjoying the single life, doing things the way she wants, Brynn becomes closer and closer to Chad. When a surprise about Chads best friend comes to light it could change everything for everyone. Fights and tears, love and loss are all part of growing up, but what happens when one of the biggest things you thought you knew about you past was a lie?Liv is a strong girl enjoying growing up and living life the way she wants, she my be pushed into things by her BFF, but Brynn only ever has her best interests a heart and Liv knows it. When things get tough she knows she can count on her friends and they know the same is true of her. I enjoyed seeing the growing up part of the book where she lived her day to day college life, but my only complaint was that it did drag a bit before you finally got to understand what was going on in the story. I loved the last 20% and seeing everything come together.

What are you suppose to do when all of a sudden your best friend is gone and for some reason is too busy to talk to you now that they have started their new life? You befriend the kid that moved into their house of course. That is pretty much what happened to Liv When her best friend Nathan and his family moved away when they were nine. Fortunately for her the family that moved in next door had had daughter her age and Liv and Brynn became inseparable, eventually the wound of losing Nathan started to heal, just never fully. Fast forward to college, funny thing college, it brings people from all over to one place. Who would have thought that after all of these years Liv and Nathan would finally come face to face. Too bad the reunion wasn't anything like Liv had hoped for. Quite the opposite actually. Liv can't figure out why her former best friend hates her so much and he isn't so free with the answers either. It isn't until tragedy strikes that they are finally willing to have a conversation and they find out what really happened all of those years ago that broke both of their hearts. This was a great read both heartbreaking and heartwarming! ARC given in exchange for an honest review

This book teeters in the 4-4.5 star range. The story line was EXCELLENT, but the spacing of the story was just a little too drawn out for me. But the character involvement and 2nd chances story line drew me in! I like how we get a snippet of Nathan and Olivia's life when they were kids. It helps set the tone of the friendship they had. The story is well developed in that we deal with drama, grief, shock(definite shock), one-nighters, and love...among other things. Olivia, aka Liv, aka "O", is a very independent woman and knows how to get what she wants...but she needs an extra push sometimes. Enter Brynn...Liv's best friend since high school. Brynn is a spitfire! She helps bring out the best and possibly worst in Liv.I have to admit I teared up a little. 2nd chances, grief, fate...ya they all get to me! And grab a spray bottle for the spicy scenes because they definitely do NOT disappoint! I really enjoyed this book, first one I have read by T. Renee Fike...I plan to read more of her books in the near future!

Spoiler alerts****. This book is outstanding! Where to start I love all of Her books I own them all! She's one of my favorite authors! This story is about best friends that got separated. They always wanted the same for each other. They try to keep in touch when they got separated but the parents intervened in that! Years later in college they meet up again with new best friends and there's a lot of hatred from Nate because he feels that Liv abandoned him when they were kids. He holds the grudge not knowing the truth and she doesn't know either what truly happened. Until one day something devastating happens. The truth comes out but can they mend the wounds and get things back after all this time and get there HEA? This book is a must read just like the rest of hers all outstanding books!!!

So many thoughts and feelings going through my mind after reading Never Say Goodbye. This book pretty much had it all...love, heartache, and laughter. I was so confused as why the author went in certain directions throughout this book, but I must say it did work. I really wish that she would have let Liv & Nathan get together a little sooner in this book. The storyline was solid with lots of twists and turns to keep you hooked from beginning to end. The characters were solid and perfectly written for this book. Nathan & Liv...wow what a couple with alot of history...Even though at times I must say I did cheer on Ryan to work his stuff out and grow up to be the man for Liv. Great job on the book and I look forward to reading more.

I really liked this book. I liked it so much that I read it all night and am now so tired! But it was so worth it! I laughed, cried, and swooned with these characters. I loved the plot and writing style was smooth and really gripped the reader and pulled my in keeping me up all night. Fike is a new favorite author of mine now! My only critique is that the main conflict is a little far fetched between Nathan and Liv, but giving into it and riding it out made me fall in love with this couple. Loved the ending and made me yearn for more. Go to my blog for more reviews, bbsbookreviews.com

Never Say Goodbye was an awesome read. From the moment I started reading this book I was hooked. I read it in one sitting, I refused to put it down. There are so many things I would love to say about this book, but I do not want to give anything away so I will say this was a fast, brilliant, emotional read that will have you laughing and tearing up, if not crying before it is done. The plot runs smoothly, and you will fall in love with the characters. I never read anything by T. Renee Fikes before, but I can honestly say I wish I would have read this book a long time ago, cannot wait to read more by this Author.

I really really liked this book. It started off a little slow and I kept waiting for Nathan to make an appearance, but once he did... WOW. I felt so sorry for Liv the way Nathan treated her. Yes he had his reasons, but he really should have talked to her, they were only children when everything went wrong. The twist... I totally did not see that coming. I will admit I wanted to throw my Kindle when I read it! This story has a little bit of everything- friendship, love, second chances, angst, loss, tragedy, steamy sexiness, HEA. I will definitely be reading more from this author

Never Say Goodbye was a page turner from the beginning.i do have to say Liv and Brynn crack me up and love their friendship. Then there is Nate, who was Liv's best friend, but moved away when she was nine years old. Later on down the road, Liv and Nate do cross paths much longer in the book.Levi in college has a "friend" Levi that she just uses for sex, she really does not see herself with him.....This was a 4 star read , that did leave you with a really good epilogue of the story!!!

Really e njoyed this quick read about Olivia And Nathan being childhood friends and Nathan moving away and them ending up back at the same college. Brynn becomes her new BFF growing up and they go off to college together and Brynn gets a boyfriend onthe basketball team names Chad that ends up being roommates with with Nathan. Brynns tragic accident was awful and O's parent should feel awful about what they did. I would be consumed with guilt.

This book was really good. It was happy and sad. The twist in it was completely unexpected and I just burst into tears. You'll need tissue that's for sure. I liked all the characters. Brynn falls instantly for Chad so she tries to hook Liv up with his best friend Wolff. Not knowing that they were childhood friends. When they finally meet sparks fly and it isn't the good kind. Nathan feels betrayed and Olivia doesn't know why he is angry at her. This book has a little mystery as to what happened between Olivia and Nathan. ARC provided by Author for an Honest ReviewUnfortunately this book and I did not click. It felt like I had a epic college-style hangover and the party never ended even with all the drama and storylines going on. In fact, at times this book felt like three books in one. There were, I found, too many plotlines working within the story. It felt overwhelming and outdone. There was enough singular drama going on without adding so many extra elements that really took away from the story. And the point of the story, I’m not too sure, still trying to figure that out. I assumed from the blurb this would be mostly about old friends reconnecting. In a way this element was there but not until you’re past the half way point. Liv is a hard character to understand. It’s like she has Multiple Personality Disorder. Half the time she seems like a party girl and others a studious girl with high aspirations. Not to mention her quick and non-subtle reaction to having sex with one of the most promiscuous guys on campus. There’s also Liv’s BFF Brynn, whom she met when her previous BFF up and left when she was still little. Brynn slowly works her way into Liv’s heart and she’s a crazy out of control character I had no idea what to expect from. When the old BFF finally makes his appearance all I could think was ASSHOLE. And to be honest I still do NOT like him and can’t imagine how Liv could accept him after all his DICK moves. Why people have such a problem with asking questions or being honest is beyond me. Placing blame all around helps no one and hurts people in the end and all I got from this situation was Hurt even though the characters seemed to just brush it all under the rug. Even though I was not a fan of this book I was engrossed from A to B. Sure at times I was questioning what the hell else could possibly happen or begging to please end all this drama already, at the same time I was internally yelling, ‘This can’t be happening.’ See just too much. It’s all too much. There was a lot of potential here but I also felt a bunch of let downs. I still can’t wrap my head around it all and I read it a week ago. If you’re a fan of drama and constantly questioning your own sanity I would recommend this, otherwise steer clear of this soap opera and head to something else on your T-B-R.

I am not sure what to think after reading Never Say Goodbye. It took me a little bit longer to read than usual, but as I read it, I got so emotionally involved with the characters that I sometimes forgot that the story wasn’t happening to me. And typically when that happens, I know that a story is well written. There are 4 major players in this book, and one of them is Brynn. When I tell you that this girl irritated the heck out of me, I mean it. She was so overly joyed that she found love that she wanted her best-friend Olivia to find love too. And that’s great and all, but her tactics were irritating. She literally shoved every Tom, Dick, and Harry down Liv’s throat in her attempts to hook her BFF up. Very irritating! After a while, I wanted to jump in the book and shake her. I wanted to scream out, “JUST STOP!!!!!!!!! Leave her alone!” Sweet idea? Yes! Annoying as f—k? Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liv: I just don’t understand why she let Brynn boss her around so much, but on the bright side, she did know exactly when to say no to her BFF. BTW…she was my favorite character in the book. Plus, she seemed like she had so much fun in college while faithfully going to class: underage drinking, partying, sorority girl life, and a romp in the hay with her friend with benefits. Chad: Just like his girlfriend Brynn, he also irritated the heck out of me. He definitely had his jerkish moments. I wanted to slap him on more than one occasion.Nathan: Poor Nathan! I never didn’t like him even though he did have his less than stellar moments. But......the chemistry between these two made me look past that. Can anyone say DESTINY!!!!All in all, 4 likeable characters that made me feel every range of emotions. Anywho, I would give this book 3 stars. As I said before, I loved the characters, but I didn’t like how long it took for Liv to meet Nathan. To be honest, I would have given it a higher rating if she met Nathan before the halfway mark and if the ending didn’t feel a little rushed.P.S.S.S. There were too many story lines going on in this book, and I don't think any of them were fully developed or resolved.Liv and Nate are best friends until he moves away when they're 9 years old. They keep in touch for a little bit the slowly grow apart. Then, years later, they find themselves at the same College. But for some reason Nathan hates Liv. Months go by before they finally see each other, even though they have many mutual friends. Unfortunately, their best friends are dating so they run into each other often. Then there's Liv's high school boyfriend, Ryan. Ryan is at a school across the country but he and Liv try a long distance relationship. It goes well for a couple of months, but then Liv finds out that he's cheating on her. They break up. Months later he wants to get back together. Nothing ever really comes of this.Levi is Liv's "friend with benefits". They start out as friends, Liv refuses to dat him because he's player, but then she decides to have fabulous sex with him. Then all of a sudden he disappears. The problem I had with this book was this. It took way too long for Liv and Nathan to reconnect. We heard nothing about him until about 60% into the story. I didn't get the situation with Ryan wanting to get back together with Liv. It had no relevance to the story. And I didn't like that Levi just disappeared. It seemed that Liv really enjoyed being with Levi, the sex was mildly kinky but good for Liv, but then he was suddenly gone.Nothing really happened in the first 75% of the book, then, BAM, all of a sudden crazy stuff happens, we find out why Nate and Liv stopped talking, and they're suddenly in love. It all felt to unbelievable and rushed to me. Honestly, think about your friends at 9 years old. If they moved away, sure you would miss them, but don't think any 9 year old would be miserable and pining away. It was all too unrealistic and disjointed to me.

Never Say Goodbye is a really good story that had me hooked from the beginning. I enjoyed the characters and found them to be believable and relateable. I really liked Levi, he was a secondary character really but I actually was more drawn to him than I was Nathan (the main male character). The relationship between Liv and her friend Brynn was fun and interesting to read, every girl needs a friend like Brynn. For me there was a lot of build up to something that wasn't actually that big of a climax once it was revealed and then when something did happen that had me completely shocked and crying like a baby, it felt like it ended rather quickly after that. I would of preferred for the book to of gone into more detail after the big TWIST.Overall I would recommend Never Say Goodbye and give it 4 BIG BOOK LOVE STARS!

3.75 of 5 starsI'm not sure how I feel about this book. I really liked the book soon as it was heading towards 80% It fell flat for me. When secrets came out I couldn't help but thing all that has happened and that's the reason for it. It was pretty anticlimactic, I was waiting for something to happen and what happened just wasn't it for me. Grr, I want to ramble on more about that but I don't want to spoil the book. I enjoyed seeing the friendship between Brynn and Liv. I didn't like Nathan's character much, I would've rather chosen Levi even with that little situation. This book was building to be really quite enjoyable to me, but after the tragedy it fell flat and then things seemed to be rushed. I liked the epilogue it was a good ending to the book. Overall I liked the book but didn't absolutely love it.
