4 STARSThe follow up to Robin in the Hood was great! It was darker, more mature and upped the magic floating around tenfold. It literally picks up where RitH left off: Creek and Robin are on a plane headed for Venice, Italy. The goal is to find Robin's mom, long believed to be dead, and connect with her. Bringing her back to Bender Lake would be the best case scenario, but Robin and Creek are expecting the unexpected. Some very interesting developments occur this time around and this story goes from YA to NA in seconds. That of course means some sexy times! And Creek does not disappoint. From the streets of Venice through the forests of gypsy territory, Creek and Robin are literally running for their lives. A common enemy is chasing them and trying to steal the stone of thieves, rumored to be cursed and lethal in the wrong hands. But Robin will do almost anything to find her mother which ultimately puts them in harms way more than not. There are others that want that elusive stone, but it's much more complex than originally thought. The magic it weaves is dangerous, but it also heals too.In the first book, the magic was subtle, but in this one it's huge, giving the book a very mystical feel. Spirits abound, folklore, adventure, deception, greed and love make this book hard to put down. I really enjoyed it. I love reading about gypsy culture, it's so mysterious and intriguing. Robin connecting with her gypsy roots was something wonderful to behold. The relationship between her and Creek really deepens this time around. They're adults now, capable of making long affecting decisions. The stone of thieves was a central aspect to this book, but the connection between Creek and Robin dominated it. They've honestly come a long way, their relationship verging on spiritual. Robin's grandfather, the Conte de Bargona, was evil to the bone. The darkness in this book was a reflection of his acute madness and willingness to hurt his family. I wish he suffered a much harsher fate, but there you have it. Once again, the story doesn't end on a cliffhanger, but a to-be-continued. You're almost made to believe everything is right in the world...until granny comes tinkering with some more random, yet oddly insightful information. The woman is like a mystic, and she won't rest till EVERYTHING is right. That leads us to the yet to be released book 3, Sherwood's End, which I'm very much anticipating! Great series to far. ** Copy generously provided by the author for review **

Stone of Thieves is book two in the Robbin’ Hearts Series by Diane J. Reed. I loved both books one and two in this series. But book two has a completely different feel to it. Book one was YA, with a lighter, humorous feel. Book two, though, is much darker, more mystical. And most definitely graduated from YA to NA. We start right out where Robin in the Hood left off. Robin and Creek are on their way to Italy. They are in love. But there is so much mystery and pain attached to Robin’s past. Creek told her that she needs to make this trip to find out about her mother. In order to be able to give Creek her whole heart, she needs to heal the pain from a lifetime of lies and deceit. It seems, though, that they may not be welcome in the City of Love. They have barely arrived when they are attacked for the first time. So, just like back at Turtle Shores, they are forced into hiding. In their quest to find Robin’s mother, they discover so much more. The love and the commitment they have for each other grows. And Robin discovers so much more about herself and her heritage. First of all, she finds out she is NOT 16 but is 18. And they are forced to take refuge with a band of gypsies in the woods. The gypsies knew and loved her mother. But do they know where she is now? Robin and Creek have the stone of thieves, which is a large red ruby heart that seems to have power and a mind of its own. Robin keeps having visions of her ancestors. Is it the stone causing the visions? And this is a very sought after stone. Robin’s grandfather, the Conte de Bargona, will do anything to acquire it. “You and me--we’re forever, right? Come what may?”“Forever for me began the very moment I set eyes on you. I protect what I love, Robin.”Their journey through Italy is wrought with danger, magic and love. Three generations of de Bargona women are brought together to fight the evil greed of Conte de Bargona. Is the stone of thieves cursed or is it blessed? Will it be their ruin or will it save them? And just when you think that everyone will have their happy ending, that all issues are resolved, a new problem is introduced. Its not a cliff hanger. Just another thing that could keep Creek and Robin from their HEA. So we will have to wait for the next book to see what happens next. Thank you so much to Diane J. Reed for giving me the opportunity to read the Robbin’ Hearts Series. I have enjoyed getting to know Robin, Creek and all their friends and family and can’t wait to see what she has in store for them next.“The real magic we have is the love I have for you that will never die.”

Final rating: 4.5/5 stars "You and me - we're forever, right? Come what may?""Forever for me began the very moment I set my eyes on you. I protect what i love, Robin." I have to say, first book, Robin in the Hood, left a strong impression on me, and I couldn't wait to read the sequel. And when it finally arived in my hands, i couldn't read it due to University obligations. But, since i finally had time to read, I picked this jewel up and started to read. It was interesting and thrilling ride, although i wish that i had not read it so fast. But this book - it grabs your attention and you just want and need to know what happens next.Except for this book being attention grabber, I found out that it's also interesting and darker than the previous book. It's also a direct sequel for the first part, following Robin and Creek and their search for Robin's mother Alessia in Italy. That's why, if you are not familiar with the first book, you should definitely read it first. In this book, you will meet new characters, some less likable than others, you will witness the new bonds between the two lovers, you will see new sides of the story and new mysteries about Gypsy Queens, the ruby heart and ghosts that want revenge more than anything.____________________________________________OVERALL: ____________________________________________I enjoyed it and I couldn't stop reading (I also really, really love the new covers). In the first book, you knew what the second book would be about. Amd I have to say, the writer delivered it very well. And now i am left wondering about what the third book, Sherwood's End, will bring."You were always a queen in my book."____________________________________________● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ●____________________________________________ ***Copy courtesy of author Diane J. *ARC provided in exchange for honest review!*Stone of Thieves continues the tale of the fun couple Robin and Creek! While I enjoyed book 1, which does not necessarily need to be read, I found this book to hold much more pleasure for me! The excitement level was upped as was the mystique and overall romanctic feel. While the first book was rooted in the YA genre, I felt a bit of an NA turn in this progressionAs a whole, I found myself intriqued with the setting and the overall feel to the plot. That crazy magic is still rooted deep within the story and the general mystique of the characters is even more appealing. I found that while I enjoyed Robin and Creek, this story was much more than just "them" per se. This story was more about maturity...primarily Robin's self as a whole, but also with the journey. Learning harsh truths about yourself tends to cause a reevaluation of your entity and Robin struggles with scandal and lies. Definitely damaged by the wounds of her "false" life, Robin is in no way broken!Well, then there is Creek!....whew, he just gets better and better...and his hotness factor definitely gets cranked up with the danger level as many are after the "Stone" at any cost. Hello ALPHA Creek! I loved how this man was an anchor for Robin and while there was unknown all abound, together they were safely rooted within one another. Together they are making changes, making decisions, and taking complete control of thier destiny! Together they are evolving as is the intensity of their connection! So I am sure that then next book in this series will continue to up the ante! I am looking forward to more magic, more romance, and more Creek!...although Robin isnt so bad in my book either! Take this journey for yourself...it is fun, fantastical, and written well!

5 The Power of Love Stars"Love and Loss - they are destiny."A mystical journey, a coming of age, a haunting curse and family, the biggest blessing and sometimes your worst nightmare. Two kids becoming adults and the rulers of their own fate, everyone else be damned...Robin and Creek, are traveling to Venice to unravel the mystery of her parentage. Her father's ramblings have send them on a wild chase that will strengthen their bond, test their love and make them a force to be reckoned with. A couple not to be messed with.I was fairly surprised with this book. The first one was like a fairytale, bittersweet, sassy and tame but this one from the start takes off and never lands.Magical, sexy and thrilling, it took a piece of my heart and mystified me. Once I started, I couldn't put it down!Copy courtesy of the authorDiane J. Reed, in exchange for an honest review.

Bell, Book & Candle | Stone of Thieves ReviewIt's sequel time, baby! All jokes aside, sometimes sequels are not as great as the first. And in this case I would have to say that statement is true. I was really diggin' the first book, Robin in the Hood, but this one left something to be desired. I don't know, it just felt too...Disney fairytale. It's like everything had some perfect solution and the characters were either one extreme or another. They were either super wicked or super good - no shades of gray whatsoever. When I first started reading this series, especially the first book, it read like a regular NA novel. But this second book had an abundance of paranormal elements and I was not prepared for it. Due to this, I felt like I had been thrown for a loop or something.Everything felt rushed and was like some weird caricature of Romeo and Juliet. I don't know what to make of it all. I wasn't into the romance between Robin and Creek this time, and the main plot was just cray-cray. That's not to say it couldn't happen, but rather it was really out "there"...like really. The only thing that really kept me reading was the mystery about what happened to the mom, but even that had me going "WTF".I think the lack of the first book's characters sans Robin and Creek, and a plot not executed well made this book kind of "blah" for me. I was not feeling it at all. But I might check out the final book in the series LOL. Hopefully the next book is better because like Meat Loaf says, 2 out of 3 aint bad!

Copy provided by author in exchange of honest review☆☆☆☆ 4.5 Stone of Thieves Stars☆☆☆☆Stone of Thieves by Diane J. Reed is the second installment of the Robbin Heart Series but can be read as a standalone. Are you ready for a magical adventure where gypsies, revenge, cursed stone gem, and lovers fight for their love? If so, Stone of Thieves is the book for you. Stone of Thieves is unlike any fantasy book that I have read and I loved that Ms. Diane Reed took her readers on an unforgettable journey of two young lovers discovering past family secrets. I was completely captivated by Ms. Reed’s storytelling that I felt I was like watching a movie right before my eyes. Stone of Thieves took its readers on one hell of an adventure where we readers will fall in love with the heroine, Robin and the hero, Creek. Robin and Creek travels to Italy in search of the truth of Robin’s gypsy heritage and what really happened to her mother. Along the way, magical stones, gypsies tales, revenge, death, and spirits begins to unfold and unravel. Although there is danger lurking, the love between Robin and Creek begins to grow stronger everyday. The young couple’s love and devotion for each other is what was truly magical and breathtaking in this book. The power of their love is what stole readers attentions in my opinion. Creek stole your heart with his never ending love and protection of Robin. The action packed thrilling scenes will take you on a magical ride, where you are left guessing if there will be HEA for Robin and Creek. Is their love strong enough to overcome spirits that are fighting to separate them? Will Robin suffer the same fate as her mother? After devouring this book, all I could say was OMG I loved this book. I’ve been reviewing mostly contemporary romance, thrillers, new adults, and erotica that Stone of Thieves was a good shake up to my read this week. This fast paced entertaining fantasy was a great book to immersed and get yourself lost in a magical tale while learning the gypsy culture. At the end of the last page, I was begging for more and can’t wait for third installment as Creek and Robin begins another journey in discovering the truth of Creek’s mother this time. All I can say, Ms. Reed you need to hurry up with book 3 because I am dying to know what will happen next. I am hooked. Stone of Thieves

I've been eagerly awaiting this sequel since the first Robbin' Hearts novel came out, and Diane J. Reed does not disappoint! From the first page, this book dives into the exciting adventure awaiting Robin and Creek in Venice and it *does not let up.* Danger, mayhem, and the questionable underbelly of the city of secrets will keep you reading, because there is just no good place to stop before the last page. This book is the second in a series, and while you don't need to have read the first to pick it up and join in the adventure as Robin seeks the truth about her mother and learns the mystical roots of her heritage, you really should read the first book, if only to meet the quirky inhabitants of Turtle Shores trailer park. The first book (Robin In The Hood) is very firmly in the YA camp, and is a sweeter, zanier caper of a prep school girl turned trailer-park Bonnie to Creek's kind-hearted, but desperate, Clyde. This latest offering, though, takes a sharply New Adult turn as Robin and Creek deal with the fallout of learning the truth about Robin's family. You can't avoid some serious emotional maturity when your sheltered, privileged world falls apart and you have to build it back up on truths so vastly different from the palace of lies in which you were raised, and Robin is doing exactly that, at breakneck speed, as she and Creek expose the scandals surrounding her mother, and ferret out the secrets in the magical Stone of Thieves with the help of Italian Gypsies, while racing against agents of her mother's powerful family, dead-set on recapturing the Stone and eliminating anybody who gets in their way. With the faster pace and New Adult themes, this story is a few shades darker, dealing with a more mature set of themes--Robin is taking more control over her life and making mature emotional decisions about how she wants to move forward. And let us not forget Creek, who is getting hotter as the danger, mystery, and magic heat up around them. Both Robin and Creek found safe harbor in each other when they washed up together at Turtle Shores in book 1. Now, as they're taking control of their lives and running away from bad guys, their relationship is getting deeper--and heating up like the flames of a gypsy campfire. What makes this book stand out, though, is that while these people need fixing up--Robin and Creek are both suffering from wounds that inform their behavior--they are not irreparably broken people. I am not a fan of stories where one or both main characters are so damaged that any ending short of years of intense therapy just seems unbelievable. There's an underlying positivity and hope in Diane J. Reed's stories that makes you believe in love, healing, and hope without having to get all mushy. These people are broken, true, but they are working to fix themselves and each other.Who will like this book: anyone who likes a fast-paced, hot romantic adventure between two new adults, but has an underlying need for a story with more character-driven depth than the usual relationship-driven fare found in the new adult section. Who else will like this book: Anyone who's fallen in love with a YA couple and wants to see them move forward into a new stage of their lives together (and not just more sexytimes).

Review also posted on my blog Between fantasy and realityThis series is the biggest surprise of the year for me. Sure, when I signed up for the blog tour I expected it to be entertaining, but this was amazing, a true adventure full of humor, emotions, action and secrets. In the first book Robin, or Rubina since that is her real name, found out her entire life was a lie. When her father ended up in the hospital, she found out that they are in massive debt so she breaks him out and goes to the one place she knows of where they could be safe and there will be no questions asked. In Turtle Shores she finds herself, she falls in love and bonds with people who become her extended family. She begins a criminal career with Creek to care for all those people. She also finds out her mother is alive along with a heart-shaped ruby wich she thinks is just a stone, expensive but ordinary. She and Creek, the boy she loves, decide at the end of the first book to go to Venice and find Robin s mother so she can finally have closure.Stone of Thieves finds them on a plane to Italy where Robin begins to understand that the ruby is not an ordinary stone, it has some sort of powers. From there the story turns into a big adventure for her and Creek, wandering the streets of Venice, hiding from someone trying to kill them all while searching for Robin s mother. It is unusual for me to like this type of stories so that was why I was so surprised I loved this one. Robin is hilarious, she does whatever it takes to help others, she loves Creek with all her heart and she is hilarious. Creek is this misterious guy with a dark past, yet a caring heart and a smart head on his shoulders. Him and Robin are a great couple, they both mellow each other and there is strong chemistry between them. Some of my favorite moments between them are when they are just lying down and looking at the stars. The writing is beautiful, simple yet captivating and the world bulding is well done. I love the gipsy world and I hope it gets more explored in the next book. This book is full of amazing and interesting characters, it is a real adventure story for all generations and I srongly recommend it.

**Stone of Thieves generously provided by the author in exchange for an honest review**3 Magical StarsStone of Thieves proved to be an eye-opening read. My preferred genres to read usually do not include fantasy books but this one really helped give me a push towards wanting to experience more. The magic and adventure wrapped around Robin and Creek’s romance provided a fast-paced energy flowing from the pages. Written really well, this new adult romance grabs your attention from the beginning.I haven’t read book one in the series, which I understand was more mature YA than NA. After reading this and making the conclusion this falls under new adult, I‘d venture to guess anyone who enjoy NA fantasy would enjoy Robin and Creek’s story. The plot darkens more than I expected from reading the blurb. Magic surrounds the plot but not in a rainbows and unicorns kind of way but more a mysteriously deviant way. Without giving too much away Robin and Creek possess a stone worth a lot to many people, one in particular, the capabilities of the stone both helpful and detrimental in the wrong hands.Robin, the heroine of the story, underwent a period of growth in this book. She’s damage but working towards healing. The plot starts off really centered around her quest for the true knowledge of her life and how that knowledge will forever change her. She’s a strong character especially knowing the deception she’s trying to beat. Our hero of the story, Creek, provides a pillar of strength for Robin throughout this journey. He’s hot, passionate, and serious about his feelings for Robin. Together they create a haven of control and safety for each other. This book really held my attention. I’m not going to lie, I was worried going into it that I wouldn’t like it because of the genre but I’m definitely content with the experience. It wasn’t a book I truly loved but there it was engaging and held my attention. I never felt the need to skim through. There were a couple of parts that some things were unclear that I had to go back and re-read to make sure I was understanding what was happening. The author writes well; easily drawing you into her mystical world. The characters and plot engage the reader. This book isn’t a cliffhanger but it definitely ends with the reader wanting more from the story. The ending could have been a little less open-ended for me. With new a wrinkle in the story to set up the next book, something felt unfinished. Even with a cliffhanger I usually feel some finality to parts of the story but something was missing for me. However, I do believe and would recommend Stone of Thieves if you’re a fantasy reader. Robin and Creek will take you on a magically intriguing journey full of alluring deception with a plot that can quickly turn from romance to danger – the twists and turns are a major part of the fun.

*I was provided PB copy of the book for an honest review by the author.*Stone of Thieves is second book in Robbin's Heart series and it is standalone. But you should read the first one also to know how Robin's journey started. "Is it any wonder I became a bank robber?"But she never dreamed she'd fall in love..." You will wonder how she became a Bandit or Gypsy Queen and her journey in falling in love. This book is AMAZING!!! She never thought her life will change within three months, from being Robin McArthur to Robin McCracken to Rubina de Bargona.Robin andlupo biancoCreek are on a journey to Venice to find Alessia, Robin's mom, so Creek can have her whole complete heart and she can have closure. Both with broken of pieces heart helping each other to mend and be one, completely together."In healing you Robin, I heal myself," he breathes. "I don't know where that bastard asshole is who killed my mom. And maybe I'll never know. But if I can make one woman's life better, to prove to her that love can be okay, that it doesn't have to hurt and it can last forever, well then maybe I can prove that to me, too.Imagine E for C. C+RIt is an amazing journey to find the lost love of mother-daughter, bringing her mother back to home to her father who always kept Alessia in his heart and overcoming curse of Stone of Thieves. And it was hell of a journey, thrilling adventures kept me on edge but Robin's wit saved from getting heart attacks(if not true, as I wouldn't be writing this ;)lol). Thanks! to Author for mercy....,but Creek grabs me before I can slide to my death on a Venetian Street below. "S-Stop right there!" I command, holding up a quivering hand and feeling like my heart is about to halt."H-How do I know you're not a ghost? How can you possibly be alive?"Love can overcome any obstacle, curse and powerful vengeance. I loved the whole journey. Robin found her heart, her mother and her whole family, now it's Creek who have to do the same and I can't wait to know what is going to happen and excited to know an end to the magical journey of finding true love. It's a must read. I completed in eight hours (yes I counted, not counting in sleeping hours. Now, I don't know what to with myself, I'm looking forward for third book. <3

Much like in Robin in the Hood, this book is action packed. From the first page until the last there is always something going on. On their way to Italy, Robin and Creek are on a mission to rescue Robin’s mother and find the truth about the ruby heart stone. But things are never easy and Robin and Creek are in more danger than ever. The gypsies who hold information they need are mysterious and their way of life confusing to the young Americans. But together they can overcome it all and save Robin’s mother… as long as the mysterious powers of the stone don’t steal Robin’s soul first.Diane J. Reed takes us on another incredible journey with Stone of Thieves. Robin and Creek’s adventures are almost unbelievable with the speed and absurdity of what they have to face and yet within the realm of this series – it works. It took me a while to get used to the style and the pace but once I did I found myself enjoying reading their journey. As they try to find Robin’s mother, Robin and Creek find themselves growing up and being involved with more adult situations. This includes their relationship becoming more intimate and adult. I was surprised by the route Stone of Thieves took regarding the their romance. One of the things I liked most about the first book was Robin’s stage in life. She was fairly young for her years and I found that refreshing. She did take on more responsibility as the book progressed and she had matured. But despite her growth as a person, I wasn’t expecting her relationship with Creek to evolve to where it did in this novel. That said, it was handled well and did help the build the story.Robin and Creek both have to come to terms with their pasts – including their own misdeeds and their family relationships. The more I read of this series, the more I like them as a couple. They each bring out the best in the other and they have a bond which despite the circumstances, is believable and strong. Many of the other characters in this book were interesting to read about – especially the Conte de Bargona who is wonderfully terrible and I loved his lack of redeeming qualities.Stone of Thieves was never quite what I was expecting and I think that’s why I enjoyed reading it so much. You never know what’s going to happen next and the constant plot twists did keep me guessing right up until the end. I’m excited to see what is going to happen in the third book (Sherwood’s End) and have high hopes it is as action packed and exciting as the first two in the series! Many thanks to the author of generously providing me with a copy of Robin in the Hood and Stone of Thieves for review.

After an amazing start with Robin in the Hood I knew there was no way I could miss Diane J. Reed’s second book in this series, Stone of Thieves, but could she deliver with the same fresh style? Not a problem! Robin has grown from a stereo-typical little rich girl to a young lady who has learned how to truly love and be loved by those around her. Instead of taking, she gives, and she believes in the unbelievable and how she may be the key to the impossible. Stone of Thieves has grown up with Robin, no longer simply great YA reading, the quirky tone has changed, become more mature, and at times feels more New Adult than young adult, with a grittier edge as Robin and Creek head to Italy to uncover the truth about her mother and her heritage. Will she find the answers she seeks? Will she learn what became of her mother and finally meet the family she no longer knew she had or will those hidden in the shadows that chase her end her quest at the cost of her life? If Robin and Creek fail, what will happen to their “family” in Turtle Shores? The key lies in a beautiful red stone and the secrets it possesses. Will there be a fantasy ending or will evil win out?Diane J. Reed has taken her writing to another level, colored her world with even more vivid strokes and added some dark edging that kept me mesmerized by each page. She has allowed her characters to mature, and followed their growth with a change of tone and sense of urgency that ramps up the pace to blistering at times. I found myself white-knuckling it through several scenes and near tears in a couple more. Looking for love, good vs evil, fact vs fantasy and the impossible becoming plausible? It’s all here in Stone of Thieves, a tale guaranteed to steal your heart.Series: Robbin' Hearts - Book 2Publication Date: May 8, 2014Publisher: Bandits Ranch Books, LLCISBN: 0984912983Genre: NA Contemporary Romance | Coming of AgePrint Length: 240 pagesAvailable from: Amazon | Barnes & Noble

*I was offered a review copy via the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!!*Stone of Thieves was a definite refresher from all the other books I had been reading lately. It had danger, it had excitement, it had intrigue, and it also had some romance thrown in the midst. I felt like throughout the story line, I was constantly mystified by the enthrall of the plot and characters that I kept wondering: What is the Stone of Thieves and what can it do? What will happen next? And how will Robin embrace her new found sense of self from the uptight upbringing that she had grown up to?You see, Robin grew up in a privileged and sheltered lifestyle but when she learns the truth about her mother and her Gypsy lineage, this all reawakens her to reevaluate everything she’s ever believed and valued.Joined by love Creek, Robin goes through a lot of change and development throughout her journey. With her learning more about herself and her becoming the next Gypsy Queen, chaos and darker themes come into play and threaten Robin’s very own life. How will everything play out? And with the magical Ruby Heart (or "Stone of Thieves") in her possession, can she keep this magical talisman out of enemy's hands and from those who would kill to wield its mystical power? Read and you will find out!Get ready for to embark on an exciting journey encompassed with thrill, magic, and sensuality! I think I should probably check out book one in the series now as I have the feeling that I had missed some of Robin and Creek scenes in that. Hmm..Anyway, thank you to the author for extending an invitation for me to read and review her book in return for some honest feedback. I enjoyed this read tremendously and look forward to more! Robin’s character was such a breath of fresh air and the overprotective Creek made me fawn and squee for whenever he entered a scene! lolSuch a fun, captivating, and exciting whimsical read! Definitely "robbed" my heart!♥

This continues the story of Robin & her now boyfriend Creek.Robin is learning more & more about her true identity & the truth of her past. She is also learning why her Dad found it hard to show her any real affection & who her mother is.Robin & Creek go to Venice to find her mother, but as soon as they get there people are out to stop her at any cost. They get shot at & chased & they end up with a band of Gypsies. It is here that robin learns even more & gets the explanation behind the Heart shaped Ruby that her father had hidden. It is the Stone of Thieves & is believed to hold great power to the person that has it. Abridged from my blog, Reading the AlphabetAfter finishing Robin in the Hood, I could not wait to begin on Stone of Thieves.Whereas with Robin in the Hood I thought that the audience could be upper YA given the ages of the characters and the relatively light crushing on a boy, with non-graphic scenes of kisses and not-over-the-top violence that bordered on funny, Stone of Thieves kicks things up a notch in multiple facets early on. This sets it squarely in the New Adult range, albeit in a tasteful and purposeful way. Stone of Thieves is darker, but at the same time more sensual and mystical, and for me equally enjoyable.Book 2 in the Robbin’ Hearts series introduces us to new locations. Far removed from the trailer park on Bender Lake, Robin and Creek find themselves in Italy. Reed places the two in Venice with a magical backdrop, and just as I felt myself by the shore of Bender Lake, I was easily riding in a gondola and laying under the stars. Sights, sounds, and smells were all present, a characteristic that I love in books. That’s not to say that this book is all peaches and cream with setting and action, but I don’t mean that in a bad way. One of Reed’s strengths lies in her amazing talent of intertwining beauty and love between characters with sudden danger. She causes your heart to race for different reasons within a span of paragraphs and pages. So romantic gondola ride one moment, running for your life the next, and that’s just in Venice! Just wait until you enter the forests.Stone of Thieves continues the strong character development begun in Robin in the Hood. Robin and Creek continue to be my favorites. Creek is such a dynamic character; he can be so icy when he gets down to business yet he has downright swoon-worthy interactions with Robin. His transformations between these facets of his personality are written wonderfully. Of course with a new setting comes new characters, and without giving too much away enter the Italian Gypsies and Robin’s maternal line (watch out for the grandfather, eek!).Not to be forgotten from this review is the stone of thieves itself. Described wonderfully, I found myself captivated by the mystical qualities of this heart-shaped stone as they were unveiled. I can see why people would want it, or would think that they wanted it. Is there more to this stone than meets the eye or is it a pretty, but flawed stone, with some serious mythology around it but nothing more? I’m not telling, you’ll just have to read it.Stone of Thieves could easily be enjoyed as a standalone book. Reed sets up the event of Robin in the Hood quite well within the first few pages as she draws you into the plot. I will say that I am so glad that I did take the time to read Book 1 first because I found that book to be just as wonderful. I can only imagine at this point that I will think the same thing when Book 3 comes out, because all I know is right now is that I want more. I am eagerly awaiting the continuation of this series.

I SO FRIKIN' LOVED THIS BOOK. *controls feels* Agh, Stone of Thieves is a stupendous read! I devoured it in just a few hours because I.could.not.stop.reading. I think it took me little over three hours and when I reached the end of it I was definitely not prepared to say goodbye to this book. The plot, the characters and the magic are highly enthralling, making this book a definite page-turner.Stone of Thieves continues on with Robin's quest to find her mother with the help of her exceedingly handsome boyfriend, Creek. As they dash of to Venice in search of her, they get themselves into another heart-pumping and dangerous adventure with only their thieving skills and unlikely allies to help them out. If Robin in the Hood was an exhilarating drive, then this one was a mind-blowing, can't-get-enough journey.I love how far Robin and Creek have come into their relationship and as characters. They are not the same little thieves I learned to love from the first book, but these incredible people who would do anything to protect those they love. For example, I love how Creek is terrifyingly ready to take a bullet for Robin, because if something happens to her, not only does he loses the love of his life, but he loses his heart as well. For this guy, it's her and only her his reason to live for. And likewise with Robin, she has a strong heart and when she sets her heart on something, it's extremely hard for her to let go.The magical touch in this story, with gypsies and ghosts, was a thumbs-up for me as well. These elements have always intrigued me and I liked how perfect they were for Robin's and Creek's story. I don't know why, but I also found them oddly romantic. Guess it's because of their role on the story. But in all seriousness, I demand to read the third book in this series. I must know how it all ends and tie up all the loose ends. Pleeeeease! I want more Creek and Robin, and Creek. Thank god the release date is set for Fall, that means pretty soon, right? I'm counting on it.*I received a free review copy in exchange for an honest review for the blog tour. Check my host stop at The Reader and the Chef.*

    * I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. *This series just keeps getting better!! I loved book 2, maybe a bit more than book 1 (but I can't tell you for sure) and that is only because we get to see more of Robin and Creek and the ways in which they are able to expand their love and relationship. My favorite characters are still Robin, Granny Tinker and Creek, but I have added two more favorites after reading this book and they are Zuhna and Alessia de Bargona. The characters are so much fun to spend time with and they stick with the reader long after the book is finished! The author does an amazing job with developing the characters, introducing more characters and showing us how the true meaning of family and that they are those that you choose to have - they don't have to be blood related. The author made the reader feel as if they were in Italy with the characters and that we are racing through the canals, touring the mansion and flying from roof top to roof top! There is a sense of adventure that the books leaves with you and one in which you just don't want to escape. The plot is smooth flowing, it's a racing page turner that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat and they have no idea what is going to happen next! It is a roller coaster ride that has more twists, turns and drops and the reader is never sure what is going to happen next!! I am looking forward to book #3 in the series to see where the relationships go next! What will happen with Robin and Creek? Her dad and Alessia? Will the curse finally be done? Will they all live together? So many questions that I really want to know the answers to at this time....hurry up book 3, I need to know these things!!!Make sure you add this book to your TBR list and catch up with these amazing characters, situations and adventures! They are a can't miss for any reader who enjoys a bit of adventure, romance and fun! Enjoy -

Stone Of Thieves has taken on a whole new feel and a change up with some of the plot from the first book. The first one, Robin in the Hood, was a fun, lighthearted YA story. Stone Of Thieves has taken on somewhat of a darker theme. Robin and Creek are now 18 and things have gotten hotter between them. This story went from YA to NA very quickly. I couldn't put it down. You will not be disappointed, this is a must read! The story picks up shortly after where the first one left off. Robin and Creek are heading to Italy to try and find Robin's mother. It's not long after they arrive that their lives are put into danger. They have people trying to kill them and have no one to trust but each other. They are on the run and have no where to hide but with the gypsies. This group of gypsies has known and loved Robin's mother for years. Now all she can do is hope that they know if her mother is still alive and if so where has she been hidden for the past 18 years. Robin continues to have visions of her late ancestors. She is trying to figure out what it all means. Does the ruby stone really have magical powers or is it cursed? Robin's grandfather will do anything to get the ruby stone back. I really enjoyed learning about the gypsy culture and how everything comes together. I liked the gypsies in this book but I was starting to miss the people back at Turtle Shores. I was surprised by the events and people that changed things up yet again near the end. This series just continues to surprise me. The adventure, suspense, action and romance gets better and better with each new book and I love it. This book was provided to me by the author for review. This did not affect my review in any way.

The magical yet edgier long-awaited sequel to Robin in the Hood is finally here! This is a captivating tale of finding and embracing one's true identity and heritage. Robin and her love, the gorgeous and fiercely protective Creek, have both turned 18 and embark on a whirlwind Venice adventure to find Robin's mother that extends into the wild forests beyond the city and the dungeon crypts below it. I fell in love with the characters: Robin, who is strong yet vulnerable and confused, struggling to figure out who she really is yet always incomplete without her mother; Creek, who loves Robin passionately but has a fierce, dangerous "white wolf" side; the gypsies who share their world and knowledge with the teenagers. Gypsy magic is woven throughout this sensual romance, as Robin and Creek discover what it means for her to be a Gypsy Queen and how her blood and heritage give her magic and create a powerful intimate bond between the two lovers. The nature of the Stone of Thieves and how it connects to Robin's family was filled with exciting surprises, and I had to force myself not to read this book in one sitting! The flavor of Venice and the Gypsy culture makes the narrative so colorful, as does this author's exquisite, magical writing style. The romance in this novel will make your heart pound, but it is given a depth with meaning as the scenes are intricately bound with Robin's discovery of herself and her family secrets. I absolutely loved this book, and now I have to find the patience to wait for the third book in the series! I highly recommend the Stone of Thieves for a heart-thrilling read, filled with magical adventure, steamy romance, and a touching theme!

Stone of Thieves was a wondrously mystical read! I loved book one of the series, Robin in the Hood, and couldn't wait for this book to be released. Diane Reed has created a series full of magic, mystery, and romance, written in a way that only she is able. The story and characters are flawless. This book has taken on a more serious tone than the first, so I would say that it has moved on from YA to NA. Stone of Thieves shows us the mature side of Robin and Creek's relationship...and it's beautiful. For two people to connect in such a way, is what fairy tales are made of! Creek has a haunted past and a protective nature, which we see in this story, as Creek will do anything to protect Robin. They travel to Italy in search of Robin's mother with the guidance of a heart shaped ruby. Adventure and suspense grow as they work their way through clues and meet new people along the way. But, not everyone in Italy is welcoming of their presence and their desire to have the ruby heart drives them to hunt Robin and Creek down in an attempt to steal the heart, using any means necessary. Finding safety amongst a group of gypsies, who surprisingly teach them many lessons about themselves and their capabilities. I love the details of this story! The charms and enchantments, accuracies and knowledge of Gypsies. I am fascinated with this series and am really looking forward to the release of book 3. I recommend this series to everyone who believes in true love, to those who love suspense and mystery, and to those who love finding a new book addiction!

BLOG TOUR: http://athousandwordsamillionbooks.bl...From a rich girl in a snobby boarding school to a trailer park bank robber to someone with a mission, Robin McArthur/ Robin McCracken/ Rubina De Bargona has seen it all- at the age of just eighteen. After accepting who she really is, and that her whole life was a fabrication of a dream meant to dissolve at some point or the other, Robin and her soul mate, Creek set off to Venice to find her long lost mother.I read both books in the series together and so fast, that I barely had any time to breathe. Diane J Reed has this… superpower, let’s call it, to put things together SO fast that you’ve barely overcome the previous revelation when the next fun is hitting you in the face. I LOVED both books and will definitely be looking out for book three! That being said, I must also do this. A few days after, you know, as I sat down to think about the story in general- I can only say that I wished it would have been a tad slower. I would have LOVED to see how Robin’s and Creek’s relationship evolved slowly, not how they rob a bank and then, after hating each other- or hate-lusting- suddenly start heavy duty making out. That was book one, but, book two was SO different. There were no banks, but asylums, no hounds but guns and of course, gypsy queens and rubies, but the writing makes you take it all in stride!Honestly, if someone asked me to describe this book, I have nothing but one word- explosive! My Verdict:Highly recommended- just walk in with an open mind!

I Received A Complimentary Copy of This Book From The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review!I absolutely loved this book. This is the second book in Diane Reed's Robbin' Hearts Series. This book follows Robin and Creek as they journey to Venice in hopes of finding Robin's mother and discovering answers about who Robin is. What they end up finding is a whole lot more than they bargained for. They discover a curse that that haunts her family, family members that want nothing more than to see her dead, and a band of gypsies that are a lot like her and Creek's family back home in Turtle Shores. Will they be able to find her mom and bring her back home where she belongs? Will Robin fall victim to the same curse that traps her mother or will Creek and the love they share be enough to see her through.A wonderful story of magic and intrigue that will have you glued to your reader unable to put it down. The love and devotion Creek has for Robin amazes me. He's definitely protects what he loves and it takes a lot to put him down. I can't wait for the next book in the series so I can see what adventures await Robin and Creek next.Diane you have done and amazeballs job with this book and series so far. I truly recommend these books to all book lovers out there. Due to some intimate scenes I would recommend that you be atleast 17 before reading this book.

** Copy generously provided by the author for review **I am a type of reader who usually go for a horror, paranormal or mystery genre but when I get the chance to grab a hold of the book and try it for myself, this pushes me to give this kind of genre a chance. First off, I love the way on how the book was written because it seems like you are reading from someone's diary. The emotions on every character is delivered very well. I can even feel the sentiments of Robin's rants. What excites me the most about this book is that it doesn't really evolves mainly on romance, fantasy and stuff related to that but it also the readers the thrill and excitement like you get when you watch an action movie with a little kick of humor. I can assure that you'll be falling in love with Creek just like you fall for that hot hunk from your favorite action movie. Books a striking one, you can read the whole book in one sitting. I surely am thrilled for the next sequel. To get a hell of a ride with this two stirring bandit partners, I recommend you to read the first book. Stones of thieves is quite darker than Robin in the Hood but the swirl of romance and enchanted vibes still remains. 5 feathers out of 5

If I wasn’t already hooked on Robin and Creek…I am completely in love with these two! Diane J. Reed weaves a story with action, danger, magic, mystery, and a romance that will knock your socks off! We are once again embarking on a journey with them to find answers to the mysteries presented to Robin in the first book of the series. There are questions about her heritage, a curse, and a stone rumored to steal souls. Creek and Robin face off with danger in this action packed adventure. But what really stole my breath away was the deepening love that continues to grow between Robin and Creek. He is so devoted to her, so determined to protect her, and he completely captured my heart right along with Robin’s. Their relationship is threatened by so much around them, and underneath it all is also another well of secrets that Creek is holding close. Once again, we see some closure in this book, and yet…I was left DYING for the third book! I want to see how Creek and Robin finally find their HEA. I can’t wait to spend another book with them, learning about love and sitting on the edge of my seat in suspense of the next page. Diane J. Reed has captured me and I can’t help but jump and down yelling “hurry up with the next book!” I can’t wait!

If I could give Stone of Thieves 100 stars I would. I absolutely love this book and I cannot wait to read the other books in this series! Robin and Creek head to Italy to search for her mother and find answers to her gypsy heritage. What they find is a curse that has haunted her family for generations. Their love is put to the ultimate test and Robin has to become the woman she is meant to be. There is so much more to this story, but I don't want to spoil any of it for you. Trust me this book is brilliant! One of my favorite quotes from the book is from Creek to Robin. It melted my heart and I instantly fell head over heels for him. "Forever for me began the very moment I set eyes on you. I protect what I love, Robin." I get chills every time I read it and can picture his beautiful blue eyes full of intensity and passion. Creek is hotness personified. This book has everything that I love most in a book. It has mystery, danger, magic, ROMANCE, passion and so much more. The concept is fresh and unique. It pulled me in from the very first page and I couldn't put it down. I give my highest recommendation for this book. Love, love, love it!! Please note that it has a few mature situations.

5 Magical StarsTITLE~ Stone of Thieves (Robbin' Hearts Series #2)AUTHOR~Diane J. Reed GENRE~ New Adult-Romance-FantasyPUBLISHED~ May 8th 2014 by Bandits Ranch Books, LLCPURCHASED/COST~ ARC for ReviewMY RATING~ 5/5MY THOUGHTS~ I chose to read this book because I was provided with an ARC for review and I absolutely LOVED the first book in the series. Stone of Thieves is an awesome continuation of the Robbin' Hearts series. It picks up right where Robin in the Hood left off. While Robin in the Hood only leaned toward being in the Fantasy genre, this one, Stone of Thieves, engulfed it. I'm normally NOT a Fantasy reader, but this book was well worth venturing outside my normal comfort zone for. Again, I was so drawn into this story just like the first one. Author, Diane J. Reed, has a way of doing that every time! This one was as well written as the last and the characters seemed to grow more in this book. Like I said in my review of Robin in the Hood, if you're looking for a book that's sort of just outside the box, but NOT all zombies and vampy stuff, this is it! Can't wait for more!

Stone of Thieves is the amazing New Adult sequel to the quirky YA novel Robin in the Hood. Just like the characters have matured, so has the story. It's gritty and dark and even more mesmerizing. One of the things I think I love the most is the author's ability to weave light through the darkness, and bring magic and passion to every page. The gypsies, the stone, curses, and true love bring a unique mystical aspect that I truly love. Not to mention Creek. Ah, what to say about Creek... He's like a beautiful, passionate, troubled angel made especially for Robin. He can be so romantic and getting a peek inside his and Robin's most intimate moments really made me feel a special connection and investment to their relationship. I also feel the whole thing taking place in Italy added to the mystery and romance of it all. I've always wanted to go to Italy so I really enjoyed that.Stone of Thieves has it all... magic, danger, romance, mystery, and a super hot male lead. What more can you ask for? Me, all I ask for is the next book to this fantastic series!

I love this book! I wish I could give it more than five stars because it's deserving of so much more! In book two Robin and Creek go in search of her mom and are met with adventure and danger at every twist and turn! It's an amazing story of how love can conquer all if you just believe! What I love about this book is that it was so easy to read... The words just flowed with every page and the story grips you.. You don't want to stop reading! I was not disappointed at all it turned out to be another amazing story.. With so much beauty and meaning than you could ever hope to find when reading a book! I love the emotion I feel it's like I'm no longer me in my world but I'm part of the characters in their word! It's such a cool thing to feel like you have traveled without ever leaving! When an author can make a reader feel like their not just reading a book but truly living it and feeling it with their whole heart and soul that's when you know you've found a beautiful book and that's exactly what I found in this one!!!
