2 starsIt would have been better for me to DNF this, but I held out anyway. To make it easier on Ms. Evans and me in the future I won't be investing my time in this series anymore since 2/3 books were a miss. Before I start, let me clarify a few things:1. I am not a Katy Evans hater. I liked Real and gave it a 4. I met Ms. Evans at a signing a while back and she is one of the sweetest authors you will ever meet. That being said though, Mine didn't work for me, and after finishing Remy, it didn't work for me either (You can read about my problems with Mine here). This doesn't mean it's a personal attack on the author.2. I think my main issue with this book was the wording. For example, I would've preferred the characters to smell rather than scent, and I think I must be one of the few who didn't like the lion references. I don't know if it was supposed to make the characters more primal or real, but it rubbed me the wrong way.3. If you feel like my status updates are offensive and promote negativity, then easiest thing would be to ignore. Unfriend me. Voila. But honestly? Unless Goodreads personally contacts me and says there is a problem with my updates, please don't go around telling me how I should read a book or hint at what I should or shouldn't post. These updates reflect my initial, honest feelings towards a particular scene/character/event, and sometimes I feel like it's necessary to add a gif in for effect. I may be snarky, sarcastic, or humorous, but bottom line is I'm honest. Like I said, don't like? The unfriend button is a click away. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~After reading this book in Remy's POV, I've learned a couple of things.Remy is actually very simple. This is what runs through his mind:And when it comes down to his feelings for Brooke?A smile from BrookeA look from BrookeA scent of BrookeA word from BrookeYou get the point. He always has horny thoughts about Brooke. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I would've liked it more if every other line didn't involve just his horny thoughts. How much he loves to fuckI love profanity and all, but the amount of "fucks" in this book made me shrivel. It got to the point where almost everything I highlighted had a fuck in it. Fucking wives.Fucking Brooke.Fucking ridiculous. Fucking T-shirts.Fucking church.Fucking love.Fucking marry her.Fucking bottles.Fucking Scorpion."......You get the point. He fucking loves fucking.Remy has a super nose"I want to smell the fuck out of her cause it gets me all cranked up and nothing has ever cranked me up like her scent just did."<-- O_O"I drag her scent to my lungs like a junkie..."<-- why am I imagining this:"I dive hungrily to her lovely neck, brushing her hair to the side, and pressing into her spine, inhaling her like a madman.""I taste her ear. I fuck it." <-- Ummm how do you fuck an ear? Trying to picture that and no....If you've gotten this far, thanks for reading. My quick two cents:This was the exact repeat of Real, despite the difference in POVs. Maybe it's because the events got repetitive I found myself getting bored quickly. Similar to my feelings for Mine, I thought this book was 90% overwaxed descriptions and 10% story plot. The end.ARC provided by publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. That’s this book in a nutshell. A few hundred and how many ever pages too many of Remy imagining his dick on, in, and around Brooke. And let’s not forget his weird obsession with semen play.If you’re looking for an interesting twist on the first story, you’ll be disappointed. This is pretty much the EXACT same book as Real. Almost every piece of dialogue is reused and almost nothing is added EXCEPT FOR REMY’S INANE, REPETITIVE THOUGHTS ABOUT WHAT HE WANTS TO DO TO BROOKE. No, I’m not exaggerating. THE WORD ‘WANT’ IS USED 614 FUCKING TIMES!!! Some of the “fine examples”:“Makes me want to throw the door down and kiss the hell out of her.”“I want her and I’m going to have her.” “I want to make her mine.”“I want to smell the fuck out of her…”“I want the joy of looking at her and touching her and I want. To make. Her. Mine.”“…my body wants to cup her hips and draw her into me so I can scent her more.”“…I want to reach the very core of her being before she’s mine.” “I stare at the top of her head and want to bury my nose in all that dark hair and sniff her until the worlds ends.” “I want her to smell me...”“I want her.” <-- this little gem is used nearly 100 times. O_OI’m not even going to post all the WTFery in the form of awkward sentence construction and strange visuals other than to say that even though this book was allegedly edited it read a lot like the first and left me with the distinct impression that any book written by Evans needs more than one editor because of reasons. When I received this book for review my heart was completely exhausted from Mine. I read Mine and Remy back to back, one after the other. I had a Remy weekend, so to speak. ALL REMY, ALL DAY, and it was AMAZING. Let me tell you, coming out of Mine (bk 2 in the Real Series) I was a MESS. I wasn't ready to let go of them. I felt HEART BROKEN. Almost as if there was a death in the family. I can't explain it. I felt pouty, raw, restless and just...blah. I love this series. I think it's one of those that imprints itself on your heart and mind. It's an intense experience. Remy is a man of very few words but the words that he does utter come from the heart. Getting in his head was heavenly. It gave me closure...well as much closer as one can get from this series because in all honesty I don't think I'd ever tire of reading about Remy and Brooke. By this point you know that Remy is an ALPHA GOD. He loves Brooke with an unbridled passion. She is his SOUL. His other half. His heart beat. His life. She makes him want to live and be better. She gives him wings and helps him fly. The love that they have is ONE of a kind. It's special and beautiful and intense and ALL GOOD THINGS.In Remy you get his POV from Real and Mine and more into the future. Now please, WHAT is better than REMY'S POV?????? Nothing people. NOT ONE THING. God, this man...being in his head and seeing what he saw, feeling what he makes you...God, it makes you HAPPY, it makes you sad, it makes you BLISSFUL. He is such a gentle SOUL. He's perfection for me. I've heard a lot of people say that there are REDUNDANCIES and there is REPETITIVENESS in the series....My opinion, I DON'T CARE. It's the CHARACTERS that BURST forth from the pages and infiltrate your heart and soul, the story that captures you and steals your breath. It makes you FEEL and LIVE, it makes you DREAM and God, it does so much for you. It's romance, carnal passion, sex, hurt, jealousy, love and PRIMAL goodness all wrapped into one. It's EVERYTHING. What can I say... Remy is Remy's POV and Remy's POV is like a Christmas present for a fan of this series. It's HEAVEN wrapped into an incredible package. You're going to CRY. I did. I miss them. Shit, I miss them. It's a 10 +++ STAR read. I LOVED it.

“I won’t let you fucking leave me.”I need to touch, smell, taste, claim*full review to come*----------------------------------------------Exclusive Sneak Peek into Remy by Katy EvansTeaser from Remy's POV“Take your clothes off, Remy.”She flicks open her last button, parts her shirt through the middle, and my fingers spasm so hard the T-shirt I hold falls to the floor. She’s so beautiful my eyes devour the parting of her shirt and the smooth skin she just revealed. “You have no idea what you’re asking for,” I angrily warn. Her voice is soft and pleading. “I’m asking for you.”“I won’t let you fucking leave me.”“Maybe I won’t want to.”My heart pounds so fast in my temples, I can barely hear her. “Give me a goddamned guarantee. I won’t let you fucking leave me, and you’re going to want to try. I’m going to be difficult and I’m going to be an ass, and sooner or later, you’re going to have fucking enough of me.”She tosses her shirt to the floor, then pushes her skirt down her hips. She stands in a cotton bra and panties, her chest heaving. “I’ll never have enough of you, never.”I’m being devoured on the inside with my need, and a low, hungry sound rips up my throat. She stops breathing, while I’m breathing so hard I can hear myself in the room. I need to grab her to me so bad, I curl my fingers into fists at his sides as I speak roughly to her. “Come here then.”The command makes her seem to tremble in place. She looks at me helplessly, and I wait, my heart crashing into my ribcage. She takes the first step and my entire body tightens and awakens. My blood rushes through my veins. My skin feels taut and every cell open in anticipation of her touch. My breathing escalates. Her pulse flutters and her nipples poke into her bra, and my mouth waters with the need to taste her, suck her.She stops a foot away, and I snap. I tangle my hands into her hair and yank her head back and bury my nose in her neck, hearing myself growl as I inhale her scent. She shudders and scents me back, I lick a wet path up her neck as I engulf her in my arms. “Mine.” “Yes, yes, yes, Remington, yes.”Her fingers sift through my hair as she rubs her nipples to my chest and I can’t stop sucking her scent into my lungs.I grab her face and drag my tongue from her neck, along her jaw, to lick the entry of her lips. I probe the seam and use my lips to part the lower one from the top. I nibble and a soft whimper full of need reaches me, muffled when I shove my tongue inside. I’m so fucking hungry I can’t hold back anymore. Her response is instant, and her tongue tangles heatedly with mine, and holy god, I’m dying here.We taste and suckle, and she melts into me, and I’m burning. I shove my pants down my legs and I ram my thumbs into the front of her bra, yanking it open until her breasts bounce free. I fill my hand with them and lift it to my mouth. I wet it with my tongue, then scrape my calluses across her nipples, kissing her again as I fondle her.I squeeze one breast and slide my hand to cup her between her legs, sifting my fingers under her panties. I rub her with the heel of my palm and I feel a tremor rush through her. I tear our mouths free and lean my head on hers as I watch my hand caress her. She’s incredibly wet, and she feels so good, my airway is almost closed from my need. “Tell me this is for me.”I tease the tip of a finger inside her and she clenches me tight. “It’s for you.”*unedited excerpt, not final version*OH Sweet Heaven Above!!!!!!!More Remynizing!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched her slide the fork into her mouth and suddenly became so thirsty that I jammed a carrot into my mouth. The above sentence is not a one-off. This book and series is punctuated with these types of strange, puzzling sentences and phrases. This series is one of the best examples of possibly the worst writing I’ve ever come across in romance reading. Having read a few thousand romances I've got plenty with which to compare it. (view spoiler)[WHY I READ THIS SERIESa) Real was one of the nominees for Best Romance for the Goodreads Choice Awards 2013b) Yet some of my friends rated this 1 starc) After reading the first book, I continued the series to see if the author’s writing had improved with experience and with the guiding hand of a professional editor from a major publisherENJOYMENT IS SUBJECTIVEMost of my GR friends have loved this. They have every right to rate it with 5-star love if they so choose. Enjoyment in reading is a personal, purely subjective experience. I am not judging anyone who loves this series. Thousands have enjoyed this. If you enjoy a enjoy it. You don't have to justify that to anyone. However, no one can argue that this series is well-written. This is my major problem. Not the story, such as it is.Not anyone's enjoyment. But the writing, the disregard for good grammar (specifically syntax), incorrect choice of words, and odd phrases that leave the reader befuddled. I'm not even going to address in detail the other issues I had with this book - -insta.instalove- poor characterisation, particularly of Remy, a man with bipolar disorder- the clueless heroine- use of repetitious phrases, endearments, themes and even stories- the 'romance' lacking any sexual tension - the sex characterised by cheesy, often flowery descriptions and declarations, with the hero almost always 'hard' and the heroine constantly 'wet'- very little depth to the story, the plot is simple, barely there, relying heavily on sex, sex thoughts, sex talkSo while I can appreciate enjoyment is subjective........GOOD GRAMMAR IS NOTIf English is not your first language and you’ve had trouble understanding what’s written in this Real series, don’t worry I had trouble too and English is my first and only language. What is Grammar?Grammar is the structure and system of a language - the rules if you like - that allow us to understand the meaning of the written or spoken word. If there are no rules - or writers fail to follow them - then misinterpretations and miscommunication abound.Syntax dictates the structure of a sentence, so that words combine to create sentences which we read and then form images in our minds.Good grammar enables the reader to understand what is said without ambiguity. The following examples from Remy leave the reader somewhat stupefied. I watched her slide the fork into her mouth and suddenly became so thirsty that I jammed a carrot into my mouth.Does this mean that shoving a carrot into one's mouth quenches thirst? He takes the ring with the agility of a meatball. This is in reference to Remy's opponent The Butcher. I'm guessing 'meatball' relates to his moniker Butcher...meat, butcher...but meatballs are small, bite-sized pieces of food, so...??? Five minutes later, when Pete arrives, he sees my eyebrow is bleeding into my eye...This tells me his eyebrow has seeped into his eye. Perhaps it would be better phrased......he sees the blood from my eyebrow bleeding/seeping into my eye...Pregnant.Eight letters, one word that makes my chest swell, my cock hard.If this were my husband, I'd be booking an appointment with the doctor. The problem here is of course, when anyone mentions the eight-lettered 'p' word that indicates a woman (or perhaps even an animal) is with child, Remy is going to swell uncontrollably in his chest and penis. It sounds to me like a serious medical condition he should get checked out. He's a man. He might not know about butterflies, but I know enough for the both of us. And I've got a zoo full of them right now as he opens his eyes and looks at me.Either we can assume men know nothing of butterflies, the insects. Or that the 'butterflies' refer to the idiom 'butterflies in the stomach' and men don't get those nervous feelings. I'm guessing it's the idiom. Either way, it's patently ridiculous and wrong.None of the above phrases or sentences should leave me guessing the author's message or intent. And these are but a few; the whole book is riddled with these cryptic, confusing sentences and phrases.Everyone makes mistakes with grammar, syntax, incorrect words occasionally. But not a whole book. Not a series of books.HOW TO MURDER THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN THREE EASY LESSONSLesson 1Real by Katy EvansLesson 2Mine by Katy EvansLesson 3Remy by Katy EvansAfter finishing the first book I thought that the poor writing was pretty darn funny. It was a nightmare to read, but entertained me nonetheless. However, by the time I trudged through this series of (so far) three books, the funnies had worn off and I was left feeling depressed. Here's why -scent used over and over and over...and despite an exhaustive (and exhausting) search I could find no evidence that people 'scent'. We might even follow a scent, but we 'smell' odours, fragrances, etc small/little these adjectives to describe the heroine were used ad nauseum...her feet, dimple, breasts, fingers, body, teeth, ear, muscles, backside, smile, tongue, head, nose, nipples, neck, thighs, mouth, bones, arms, forehead, clitoris, grin, stomach...all five feet seven of herfirecracker used as an endearment 27 times with the adjective LITTLE preceding it 26 times ...I think about waking one morning to find Brooke and my son gone, and dying is too easy to describe what I want to do.My stomach boils.I watch the video again, and my stomach boils even more. She'd stood there tonight in my arena, trying to raise her walls up to me, and she'd looked proud as a warrioress, like she hadn't already endured the world watching her fall once already....her skin looks even tanner than it is and so damn lickable my tongue hurts inside my mouth.'tanner' is not a wordCoach pokes a finger into my chest and I feel it almost cock is hard and fully standing when I shower and I have to turn the knob to cold - ice coldI guess the 'knob' refers to the shower, not his penisI will. Kill myself. Before letting her go."When I get you in bed, I'm going to scrub you raw with my f*cking tongue..."I stop, then I drag a bunch of air into my burning lungs...I slam to the floor.I feel it under me. I almost like it.No part of my body understands why I'm not using it."It's hard to watch you fight, but to watch you murder yourself is...I won't do it. Remington!"When she starts walking toward me, I feel like every step makes me grow inside my suit the way only she can make me, and I'm about ten sizes too large now and burning beneath the fabric.Surely as readers we should be more demanding? We should expect better quality writing from authors. And better quality editing from major publishers like Gallery Books.POPULAR V WELL-WRITTENMs Evans should rightfully feel a sense of pride that this series has engaged so many readers. But putting a book out in the public arena means that potentially it will also have its critics. Despite some raving reviews, high ratings and popularity, this series for me is amateurish, poorly written, reflecting a very basic, simplistic grasp of English language, composition and vocabulary.Research of bipolar disorder is woefully inadequate. The portrayal of a man with the disorder is mostly incorrect. THE 'PROFESSIONAL' EDITINGWorse than even the writing, is this originally self-published work was picked up by a major publisher and apparently edited. With a professional editor and all the know-how and considerable resources of a major publisher, books #2&3 should have been an improvement.Shoddy writing, poorly structured sentences, incorrectly used words, ambiguous meanings and barely intelligible phrases may get a pass in self-publishing. But there's no excuse for this from a professional editor and major publishing house. This trend where a publisher buys up a popular-selling, self-pubbed book, may work out well for the author and the publishers. But if poorly-edited novels like the Real series continue to be churned out, it will be readers who'll lose. (hide spoiler)]FINAL THOUGHTSI rarely give a 1-star rating; I can always find some small thing in a book to enjoy. However, I found nothing in this series that captivated me. Not the writing, the characters, the romance, the sex scenes, the plot. The writing especially was a source of amusement, frustration and disappointment. But mostly confusion.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

4-4.5 REMY Stars!Remy... oh Remy! I love him! Just an fyi- *If you haven’t read Real or Mine, this review may have some small storyline spoilers. Remyis a collection of parts from the first two books, plus some new material all from Remy’s pov. I love the male pov and it was especially nice to get into a male like Remy’s head. Remy’s a complex character. Some of the things that went on in that head of his broke my heart. He has issues, we all know that. But they don’t define him. He wants Brooke from the very start . He’s never wanted anyone the way he wants her, but he’s not sure what to do about it. I don’t delude myself into thinking she will accept me, but what if she does? What if she can understand me? The way I am? The two parts of me?As Remy falls deeper and deeper into Brooke, his fears come to light. Because he’s never felt this way, he’s not sure what to do with these feelings. All he knows, is he’s not letting Brooke Dumas get away. “I won’t let you fucking leave me.” I won’t rehash the whole story, if you’ve read the first two books, you know it, and if you haven’t, you can check out my reviews for the first two books, or better yet, read them for yourself! This is a series you don’t want to miss out on!What I love about Remy: Remy is primal. I need to touch, smell, taste, claim. He’s a fighter. He’s protective, possessive, and has all the fabulous qualities of an alpha male. But he is SO much more that that! Everything he does, he does fiercely. He fights fiercely, he loves fiercely. He kicks my damaged man loving heart in overdrive! I love how he feels music, how he just is who he is despite everything thats happened to him in the past. I just love him! Emotional, moving, steamy, sweet. A great addition to the Real series. Remy’s pov was great- I especially loved his perspective when he was speedy or in the black. The reason it wasn’t a five- it was a little too short, and I feel that there were certain scenes that would have been ideal to put in from Remy’s pov to better understand him. Still, an amazing read! There are things you’re certain about. That you’d bet your life on. Things that you just know. You know the heat of a fire will burn you. Water will quench your thirst. She is one of those things; the most unerring certainty of my life.***ARC kindly provided by publisher in exchange for an honest review***

    3 Possessive StarsWell, I’m not going much further on the description of this story because it’s basically Real & Mine compressed and read through Remy’s eyes. Since the moment he saw Brooke to the moment he finally got her, this book tells how he lived the story, especially when blackness would take over him. What can I say about this book?It, unfortunately, disappoint me. I was not happy with it! *stomping foot* Look, Remy was probably my favorite fighter so far. I loved him in the previous books. But, right now, basically all we had from him was a monosyllabic vocabulary. All we would say / think / demonstrate towards Brooke and anyone around her was: Do you understand?Are we clear?????Yep. This sums it all. Remy, I loved you before and you let me down. So;

5 Remy-ness Stars (SPOILER FREE REVIEW)Reading Remy is like getting a feel of your favorite book for the first time, but twice.I want to keep this review short, because if you are a Real fan, then you know basically everything, but there are a few points I want to hit.FIRST - > You must read the books in order, Real, Mine and then Remy, there is no skipping. Remy is Remy’s POV from Real. When I first started Remy, it kind of reminded me of This Girl, it starts out present time and it goes “flashback” mode to Remy’s memories, so you get a little bit of extra if you know what I mean. Like everyone, I am not a huge fan of alternative POV books, HOWEVER, I do read them if I am a huge fan of the series. I loved This Girl and Walking Disaster, both were five star reads for me and Remy is no exception. Her scent works me into a lather. I need to find the source of that scentI want to play you a thousand different songs so you get a clue of what... I feel inside me.I want to be your fucking real. You get that? If I fuck you, I want you to belong to me. To be mine. I want you to give yourself to me-not fucking Riptide! I loved Real, it was six stars for me and I like I’ve said in my previous reviews, I am a Katy Evan’s fan for life. I really did want to read what went on in Remy’s head, especially when he’s having his episodes. Reading Remy is like reading about a love sick Hero on crack and speed, driving 200 MPH and I wouldn’t have it any other way.Call me a sucker, but I love the can’t-live-breathe-die kind of love and Remy sure delivers. On top of that, we get bits of pieces of his POV from MINE, which I LOVED. There are two scenes in MINE where I really wanted to know what went on in Remy’s head and I got my answer. YAY for that.Best part, was the last chapter and it leaves you off on a really high and “awe” kind of note.So it’s really simple, if you are a fan of the series, then a def yes from me to you. BUT I really didn’t need to convince you did I? 5 Billion 'Soul Deep Love' StarsFirst of all I'd just like to state, that years after I read these books and hundreds and hundreds after, REMY IS MINE!!! His love, devotion and heart gripping emotions towards Brooke made my ALL TIME best book boyfriend, the ultimate Perfectly Imperfect Hero, and I couldn't have loved him more.Their story was one of the most soul touching, heartfelt, tear inducing (happy and sad) I've had the pleasure of reading, and again, years passed and a reread done since RACER is coming (OooooooMmmmmGgggg, I need it now!!!), and I never forgot, and never will! This kind of EPIC love, truly is as REAL as could be, and will be forever branded in your soul! As will Remy, the very definition of ROmantic Hero himself will, so don't go trying to steal my man, but if you haven't yet read this series, you NEED too stat! Now, counting down the days until Racer is here to see if it's really 'like father like son' and he will be up there on H Olympus! Not easy, having those high shoes to follow, and I Can't freaking wait!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

➳I KNEW IT! His filthy thoughts are all over miming and I cannot get over how PERFECT Remington Tate is... ➳Remy is by far my favorite alpha male and will forever hold that title. His act of kindness towards the one person whom brings him a passion filled with love and admiration, is something that brings a sense of comfort to your heart when you read this incredible love story by Katy. She has not only brought a new meaning to a possessive and broken alpha but she has written a whole new genre filled with a unique sense of honor and care.➳This is a short review because this is the same story line as REAL and MINE only in Remy's perspective. Overall, even though you are technically re-reading the same story, you should all give this one a try because it is INCREDIBLE!➳Follow Me On:Blog ♕ Instagram ♕ Facebook ♕ Twitter

3.5ish stars.Remy is a mix of both Mine & Real, told solely from Remy's point of view. This story jumps back and forth from present day to the past and retells the story of how Brooke & Remy fell in love. The blues & the blacks.I remember when I first read Real, I was completely blown away with the way their story was told. I absolutely loved it. With Mine, I just came away with such a different vibe that left me completely lost. Brooke left me completely ready to murder a fictional character. I expected that getting back to Remy was going to feel like coming home. I wanted to feel his strength and animal instinct take over and overpower me. But all the aggression and tension we saw through Brooke's eyes wasn't there. Sure he was the hunter stalking his prey, wanting to claim her - make her his. But I was overwhelmed with the vulnerability rather than getting a taste of a pure alpha-male in his element. It's not that I was not wanting emotional. I actually was looking forward to the moment that Brooke left him the note and left him. Although he was black during this time and out for weeks, I wanted to get lost in his pain. I still love this series, although the last two books didn't do it for me. When I think about this series I always go back to the first book in the series. For me that story has carried the other two books. I really wanted this one to wow me though. We were tortured with tension in book one and then had to battle through Brooke, the scenting, petting and licking that was overwhelming in book two and I really wanted to something different with book three. A chance to see the core of Remy beyond what we already knew. But it just felt like I was reading the first two book again, without the fire of my first time reading Real. I am looking forward to the next parts of the series were we change characters and get to experience something new from Katy Evans. So many have fell in love with this series, with every book. For me personally this just did not measure up to my own expectations.

ARC provided by the author in exchange for honest review****4-4.5 REMINGTON STARS******FYI- Please read Real and Mine before reading Remy**Remy is a collection of parts from the first two books, plus some new material all from Remy’s POV. We all know that Remy is a damaged man. He’s diagnosed as bipolar, but that doesn’t define him. Remy is a fighter. He’s protective, possessive, strong, passionate, and a total bad ass alpha male. Behind all these amazing qualities, there is much more to Remy, the REAL REMY. He expresses his emotions and thoughts through his music. He is a man of few words and finally in Remy, readers get an insider’s perspective on his thoughts and feelings. What I love about Remy is that he is not afraid to be himself. He accepts his faults; he copes and deals with his black and blue self. When this man loves, he loves fiercely. He goes beyond the means to make sure you know how much you mean to him. So when he laid eyes on Brooke, he made it his mission to pursue and make Brooke his. Getting Remy’s perspective and POV was a great way to wrap up the series. Remy is not only a championship fighter but he is also winner in life. He finally gets his Happily Ever After. He got his little firecracker, Brooke and the family that he deserves. Overall, Remy was an emotional, moving, sweet and steamy addition to the Real series. I loved that we get to know the real Remy; his thoughts, his feelings, his health and his perspective on his relationship with Brooke. I loved that he was trying to be the best for Brooke and he never wavered in his love and dedication to her. He made it clear that Brooke was his and she belonged to him. This book consisted of flashbacks and present day Remy and Brooke’s wedding day. Hands down reading Remy and Brooke’s first night as husband and wife was steamy and romantic. Thank you Katy Evans for introducing us to Remington Riptide Tate. Remy was a great end to the Real series. Katy Evans

(BR with Patty)5 "I'm Yours" Stars! I enjoyed how this book bounces back and forth from the present to the past, but what I loved the most was that it was from Remy's POV. Reading the past told by Remy was like reading it for the first time. Getting in his head gave us his oh so delicious thoughts, but also showed us he is even more tender and sweet than I even thought possible. His love for Brooke is just so intense and beautiful & I loved every moment! (MY REAL...MY)-When I take you, baby, I'm taking it all. I'm taking every fucking breath, every inch of your skin. Every. Beat. Of your heart.-I swear, in my life, nothing can come close to this. To the way I need her. Want her. Fucking love her.-She's my balance. I need her more than air.-I love her so much. She's given me love in ways no one in my life ever has. I had never known someone could love me until she loved me.-Mine. She's going to be mine. In every way possible.-"There isn't a single part of me that doesn't know I'm yours."-Only Brooke does this to me. The noise inside me stills and I feel whole and content, at peace, the instant my eyes lock on hers.-"You're my Real, little firecracker. You're my everything."

This book is told in Remington Tate's perspective from the past -Real and Mine and the present- as he and Brooke tied the knot. It's fast paced and nothing much happened. We just get to see more of his attraction towards Brooke. That's it. The past moments dragged on. Still, it's a happy ending :)

If I had to re-live a journey i would blindly and without a doubt follow him - Remington "Riptide" Tate aka my Remy on this path of passion...the grip of love at first sight...first forever kiss...dealing with illness and hardship...being frustratedBUT aspire and thrive to be the best you can be for that someone yet being torn inside from fear of consequencesand I was reliving it all - Remy accepting and admitting that he wanted her...that he needed herthat he craved herthat he couldn't live without herthat he couldn't exist without herthat he couldn't breathe if she weren't beside him, that he'd follow her to the hell and back, that he'd stop being who he is if she'd leave him, he'd just disappear and fade to black...that he'd fight to his last breath to keep her safe, to make her happy, to love her and make her forever HISI was unexpectedly astonished at first sight...then I was hooked... he was all I saw...I signed a contract like Brooke did but mine had no time limit, I'm tied forever.and then the road led me from one revelation to another, story unraveled my deepest emotions and put them into a new context...I was totally absorbed in the story, Remy and Brooke that for a while I couldn't eat, drink or sleep...but I never felt more fullfilled and consumed...ALIVE!!!!I just couldn't stop, thinking, feeling, imagining, dreaming, rooting...although I'm sad I have to say goodbye...I can't deny - nor I'd want to - the feeling of being alive and wired while the journey lasted and that it felt f*cking unbelievably great!!!

My thoughts: 3.5-4 Remalicious Stars!“I feel so fucking possessive, I don’t let her go of her. I want every man looking in her direction to know this one’s fucking MINE. “I was already in love with the first book in the series, REAL, but I wasn’t a big fan of MINE solely because of Brooke, its redundancy, and not much substantial story plot. I’m proud to say that I actually really liked REMY! Reason being: REMINGTON TATE!!"I don’t want her to look at anyone but me. I want her to see I’m the strongest, the fastest. Hell, as far as I know, I want her to think I’m the only man in the whole world.”Keep in mind that REMY is told from Remy’s eyes and no longer Brooke’s and it tends to dive in and out of the past and present. It also gives light of what MINE doesn’t and goes a little beyond that story. Well, just a tad. Don’t expect a whole lot of extras since you really just see the wedding and baby Racer is all.My ONLY COMPLAINT though from this book is the over use of the phrases, “She is MINE,” “I want to scent her,” and “I want to claim her.” Yeah, I get that Remy is an alpha possessive heathen but he doesn’t sound too bright in the head if that’s all that goes through it 24/7.*sighs*Other than that, I admired the fight and tenacity in him since everyday of his life is a struggle but he tries his best the make the most of it. Even more so, with Brooke in the picture. She is his light in the tunnel of darkness…she is his REAL…“I’ve fought all my life to stay sane. To keep focused, driven, and centered. But tonight, I fight to show one woman my worth.”I’m a bit sad that it’s all over, well for Remy and Brooke anyway, but at least we can still get some sneak peaks of them in the next two books even if they may not be the main characters anymore. I know that RIPPED (book 4) will be on Brooke’s gothic friend Pandora and then last but not least RAW, the final book, will be on Brooke’s bestie Mel. Buahahaha! Looks like Nora, Brooke’s sister, isn’t getting a story! She was a real airhead to be honest! Oh well!... SO LONG FOR NOW “Brem” fans!

This review was originally posted on Addicted To RomanceRemy is the third book of the Real series by Katy Evans. Now in Remy, we get the change to see Remington's POV. In the first two books it was our heroine Brooke. So you do need to read books one and two before reading this one or you might get a little confused at some points. I truly had a fun time with this one, probably not quite as much as books one and two. Obviously we see their relationship from two books into one in our hero's view of things. So there are some scenes that are shortened or skipped because of the way it is written. But I truly wanted to read this one because one I adore this couple so much and two because I wanted to see how things happened with Remy. You get to see more hidden depths from him and this book just makes you fall for Remington even more. I love seeing the effects of his bi polar struggles and the chemistry he feels for Brooke from the very beginning. We also get present and past flashbacks, and we get to see their wedding day. The humor and the sexual tension is just as wonderful as we have seen in books one and two. I rarely get a chance to see a story in the hero's POV. And I like that this author was willing to do this. Especially since there is some mystery surrounding Remy in the previous two books. And we get to understand him so much more and the depth of feeling he has with Brooke. I like that even in the beginning it wasn't just about sex. Not love at first or anything, but I liked seeing how these two had a strong connection to each other that wasn't just physical. I definitely had a blast seeing Remy's side and more depth of his character and his view through this romance. Now my wife stands in this room I filled with roses for her, and I have. NO. WORDS. No fucking words to tell her. The way I need her. The way I want her. The way I love her. How every day I wake up a happy man, and go to sleep a happy man, sure that I can't love her any more than I already do. But every day, the impossible happens, and I love her more. Her smiles, her strength, her dedication to our son, to me, everything about her is perfect for me.Click To Buy On Amazon[foogallery id="25794"]

FIVE FOREVER REMY STARS!!!BR with Melissa :)"REMY" was in my eyes, PERFECT!!!!Katy Evans has succeeded in creating THE PERFECT ALPHA MALE character!!!I will forever love Remy and he has definitely secured a permanent spot amongst my top ten book boyfriends list."REMY" covers what transpired in books 1&2 but now we get everything in my Remy's POV!!Yes, I said he's MINE!! LOLI never felt like the story was redundant. It was like reading a new story, by getting insights into what Remy was thinking and feeling.I FREAKING LOVED IT!!Remy is so primal and has a one track mind, all centered around Brooke. There are things you're certain about. That you'd bet your life on. Things that you just know. You know the heat of a fire will burn you. Water will quench your thirst. She is one of those things; the most unerring certainty of my life."I'm every woman's adventure, damn you, and I don't want to be yours. I want to be your fucking real. You get that? If I fuck you, I want you to belong to me. To be mine. I want you to give yourself to me--not fucking Riptide!"Remy struggles with being bipolar and has been so messed up by his parents, he truly believes he's not good enough for Brooke and that if she finds out about his illness, that she will leave him. It's truly heartbreaking to have his insecurities revealed.A man who is adored and worshipped by so many, but has never truly felt loved by another human being...until Brooke. And he loves her with everything that he has.He was so completely broken when she left him after the fight he lost to Scorpion."You'll leave me the second it gets too steep, and you'll leave me with nothing--when I want you like I've never wanted anything in my life. You're all I think about, dream about. I get high and low and it's all about you now, it's not even about me anymore. I can't sleep, can't think, can't concentrate worth shit anymore, and it's all because I want to be the fucking 'one' for you, and as soon as you realize what I am, all I'll be is a fucking mistake."I swear in my life, nothing can come close to this. To the way I need her. Want her. Fucking love her. I'm being devoured on the inside with my feelings, tons of stuff I've never felt in my life, and a low, hungry sound rips unbidden up my throat. So we also get some of Remy, Brooke, and Racer in the present.Which was absolutely perfect.I love how they're still so incredibly wrapped up in each other.AND HOLY HOTNESS, the sex scenes are PANTY SOAKING HOT!!I mean, I needed a few cold showers...AT LEAST!!!I am so sad that this story is over and I must say goodbye to Remy but I may go back and read these again if ever I need a Remy fix!My muscles tense; my heart picks up, and I want to sink inside her and feel her warmth and her love, her understanding and her acceptance. Making love to her makes me feel whole and perfect, like I was made to provide and protect and mate with this woman. My woman. Her smiles, her strength, her dedication to our son, to me, everything about her is perfect for me.

Wow, for you Katy Evans especially I added the shelf „gross“. This book should be called “FUCK” because really the only thing Remy thinks about is FUCK. 24% into the story we have already reached 100 x FUCK. This should reach at least 350-400 mentions of the four-letter word by the end. Don’t get me wrong, I kind of liked Real. But this is just the same book all over told from Remy’s perspective. That means minus the pseudo-medical plus more of the horny gore type. The whole smelling, petting and licking … Eeewwww ! I mean come on, we are human beings not copulating animals. And at least a lion can lick his own balls.

Sizzling Pages Romance Reviews Sizzling Pages @ Facebook Twitter:@Sizzlingpages  5 Million Stars wouldn't cover it!!!I fell in love with this couple in REAL and I haven't been the same since. Remy's character spoke to me in so many ways but especially with is mood disorder. I have a personal experience with Bipolar disorders and mental issues in general. The feeling of being discarded, unloved and forgotten broke my heart. But it also felt completely genuine and real from this issue's standpoint. To know that you don't have control of your emotions is the worst kind of thing to deal with. To also know that people don't know the real you or want you for who you really are inside was so devastating to Remy. Brooke came along living a shell of a life and completely started healing Remy's heart. He finally found somebody that really wanted the true HIM. The man not just the fighter. She wanted him physically yes but more than  that she want him emotionally and her soul called out to his. If there is a true things as mates then Remy and Brooke were destined to be mates. I devoured this book and I loved every possessive thought that Remy had about Brooke. All those times Brooke was feeling so emotional and was reciprocated a thousand times by Remy. He was the most loyal and is the most loyal book boyfriend, hero or just plan man in a book that I've ever read. Hands down Remington "Riptide" Tate is 100% REAL ..and is the true definition of ALPHA.He protects, provides, possesses, prowls, takes, gives, scents, licks, and honors. But most of all he loves with every beat of his heart and every ounce of his soul. Luckily he found the one person who loved him for him and saw in him the true warrior and ultimate mate that he is. He never felt love till Brooke.Brooke never really knew love until Remy and once they fought all the battles and came out winning I just cheered right along with them. This story and this couple will stay with me forever. I will be thinking about this for a long time and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to review this amazing story. Thank you Katy Evans, this love story was a true gift. I can't wait for more from you.

...Katy Evans you rock my world! I didn't sleep. I didn't eat. I just had one thing on my mind since starting Remy and that was Remington Tate. 5 solid hours of reading... and it's nowhere near enough of Remy. In fact, I think I'm just gonna start it again. Maybe even read the entire series over again. Right. Now! I'm not usually a fan of reading POV switches of the same books... but there's no denying the love, lust and longing I felt while reading this and Remy just sealed the deal that THIS series is one (if not the most ) fav series of 2013!!

So I am writing this review as spoiler free. That is assuming that you have already read REAL so you know what is going on. If you haven’t read REAL, stop reading this review and go read it, you are missing out on a treat! As a lot of my Goodreads friends know, I am firmly in the disappointed - underwhelmed camp when it comes to MINE, so I have to say it was with massive trepidation that I opened Remy, this guy is high up there in my BBF list and it wouldn’t be my first BBF POV book that has turned out to be a massive let-down. I am happy to say that my faith is restored and all is right in the world again, this book is all I wanted it to be, and little more in parts.I don’t think I need to write a particularly long and rambling review about the book, if you love Remy you are going to love his POV. The book covers all of REAL and MINE as well as a little further into the future. I have to say the first 50% was unputdownable, it pulled me right back into all the tension of REAL. Reading it from Remy’s POV, and understanding his inner turmoil and fear of possibly losing Brooke when she found out the full truth about him, gave the whole story so much more dimension. Getting into Remy’s head during his speedy/black times was equally enlightening but heartbreaking as well, I was sniffling into a tissue on more than occasion. You are given the opportunity to see that he is a deeply emotional man, who struggles to put his feelings into words, as a result of so many years of being made to feel worthless and unlovable. Being encouraged to ignore who he really is, medicated into subservience and being used for what he can offer, rather than being seen for who he really is.Remy - …I want for once in my life for someone to come to me because they feel I’m worth it…Believe me Remy. Is. Worth. It.It would be a lie to say this book isn’t predictable, you know the story, you know what happens, but you get it from Remy’s perspective. I loved that we are given a look inside his head during his fights (pretty brutal in parts they are too), and his reasoning of being so protective of Brooke. You do get a lot of Sniff. Lick. Kiss. Repeat... but I have to say I loved it in REAL so I didn’t mind it again especially as it is coming from the man himself. The ending was perfect, and to steal a song from the playlist – Everything by Lifehouse sums it all up better than I ever could.I am giving this Remy 5 stars, I loved getting him back for a few more precious hours, and I am looking forward to reading more from Katy Evans in the future.ARC provided by the publisher through Netgalley, and I am pleased to provide the above review as thanks.

Now we have, at long last, book 3 – Remy. Finally we get up close and personal with the man himself and learn what has been going on inside his complex mind as we’ve followed their story and it’s quite a revelation. We know he’s fucked up, we know he’s got issues and inside Remy’s head is an incredibly intense and fairly dark place to be. It’s fascinating to see him react and how he feels as every a major plot development that we’ve already read takes place. It’s beautiful to see how much he loves and cherishes Brooke and how much he battles with his attraction to her but it’s also incredibly painful to read some of this too – especially that moment when he first reads Brooke’s letter.I’ll not elaborate any more as I don’t want to spoil what’s in here but I think Remy fans are going to love this. Do I think Katy Evans has essentially told the same story in all three books? Yes, to a degree, there’s definitely an element of this going on but she tells these stories so well and they’re so jam packed full of deep emotion and beautiful love that I can’t help but just devour everything she reads and die-hard Remy fans will most certainly not want to this.I think Remy is one of the most complex book heroes I think I have ever read and Real still remains my top read this year – it evoked such an incredible emotional response from me, I doubt it can ever be topped. Remy is tough and alpha but also incredibly vulnerable and lost and it’s a mesmerising combination. This was a great conclusion to Brooke & Remy’s story and we get closure on everything here and I’m looking forward to seeing where Katy Evans takes this series next in Ripped and Raw, both due for release in 2014.3.5 starsFor more reviews, please visit Sinfully Sexy Book Reviews or visit us on Facebook.

My Thoughts:I was very much looking forward to reading the books from Remy's POV, that was, until the reviews/ratings started coming in. It really seems to boil down to whether you love it or...don't love it. If you've read any of the books, you know that Remy is intense and he is very primal. If the licking and scenting turned you off, you really won't like it hearing it from him. I was surprised that it didn't bother me considering I thought the licking and scenting was a bit much. But for some reason, I just got it reading it from his POV. His intensity just made more sense coming from him - the way he thought and the way he felt. Of course, sometimes he seems very simple minded...thinking of Brooke or fighting or thinking of Brooke while he is fighting. And naturally when he's thinking of Brooke, he's thinking of having sex with her, excuse me, "mating" with her...or licking and scenting her. ;) Then seemingly out of left field, he will answer something with amazing clarity and foresight. But I did like reading about his feelings and how he tried to come to terms with his feelings for Brooke and her feelings for him...something more than sex, something he's never had before. I love how he always turns to music and how music has always been there for him. I also loved how just seeing Brooke helped calm him. I was hoping to get more insight on his feelings after the first big fight and the drama but unfortunately, he was black. Most of the story is told in Remy's POV of scenes from the past but we do get several chapters of the present and I really enjoyed those. I can't really say spoilers but I like seeing how he is in a certain role. Whether you love it...or don't love it, one thing is for sure, there is no other series out there like this - at least that I've read. Remy is definitely unique. I just noticed that the next two books have been switched around...I guess Melanie's boyfriend is a handful and KE is having to rewrite so Melanie's book, Raw, will be last. The next book will be Ripped with a friend of Brooke's called Pandora. Hopefully we will get a bit of Brooke and Remy in that one!Favorite quotes:ღ “It means I’m going French this week and not showering so I can smell you on me.” God, I swear only my woman would say that."ღ “Protecting you is my privilege. I will protect you and anything that you value as if it were mine.”ღ "Whatever it's on, it means it's yours."
