Riverbend, Texas is town where many who enjoy polyamorous relationships have chosen to live. Best friends Jared and Quade new they wanted to have one wife for the both of them from a young age. Due to the fact that they were raised in town it was accepted and Jared’s parents had such a relationship. Quade had a rough childhood and that gave him better insight into what Lexie was going through. The guys had to convince Lexie that they loved her and that she was worthy of being loved. First they had to gain her trust. Trust that they weren’t going to change their minds about her, or have personality changes and suddenly start to beat her. Jared and Quade are two very hot and handsome cowboys with soft, loving centers. Lexie feels stuck in a very abusive relationship. She doesn’t have much of a backbone throughout most of the book. It has been beaten out of her. It takes the love of two cowboys to help Lexie rebuild her courage. When her boyfriend beats her unconscious Jared and Quade get her to the hospital and convince her to take a job as their cook. Lexie takes the job to earn enough money to get out of town. She doesn’t realize the brothers gave her the job to protect her, keep her close to them, and allow them the time to “woo” her. Lexie has to fight her insecurities and the fact that everyone throughout her life has eventually left her. Lexie’s letting the past go and accept love was hard and sweet to witness. This is a fast, enjoyable read. It has the soul mate thing going on. The guys see the girl and bam they’re in love/she’s the one. The sex was steamy, if a bit predictable. Then again not sure how many ways it can be done? ;) I will say it was realistic, hot, and in no way cheaply done. If you like hot cowboys, ménage, and just a touch of angst this is a book for you. This one would have been better for me had Quade and Jared not pushed Lexie so fast for a relationship. They had only known her for a week and then found her after her then boyfriend beat the hell out of her. I did like that the were there for her, gave her a safe place, but it felt like things went way too fast for someone in Lexie's situation.

Loved! ♥️♥️This is one of my faves of Marla Monroe. Lexie was being abused by her ex boyfriend. So it took great courage and faith for her to open up and trust Jared and Quade. I admired their patience and understanding with Lexie and taking it slow with her. It took her some time to really accept she loved them because of her terrible past, which made the story believable. But once she accepted it, there was nothing stopping her from loving her two cowboys. I hated for it to end! I wish the epilogue had been longer and shown a little bit more of the threesome’s future. Steamy sex scenes and a great love and HEA♥️ Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I received this as part of a goody bag at a writers convention and since it was freely given, I read it to give it an honest review.I'll say right off, I'm not a fan of menage. No matter how well thought out, to me, someone is always going to be second fiddle. Now that being said, I had quite a few issues with the storyline:- Lexie needed a spine. I understand she went through abuse at the hands of an ex, but at some point, you gotta put your big girl panties on and let it go. I'm not saying forget it happened, just move on.- Quade's near constant use of "baby girl" was not only icky, but got old fast. - Unless you're in some heretofore unknown community, in the US, you can only be married to one person at a time. Calling them both "husbands" was childish, and again, leaves someone out in the cold legally. The writing wasn't stellar but it wasn't as bad as some I've read. There were some editing issues (chest board, instead of chess board, etc) but again, not as many as some books I've read. While I wish I could say I enjoyed it, I didn't. My apologies to the author. I'm passing this along to someone who might.

Gennie's review posted on Guilty PleasuresTrusting the Cowboys is a nice story about two best friends, Jared and Quade, who own a ranch live in the town of Riverbend, TX that has a high concentration of polyamorous relationships. In fact, Jared’s parents were in such a relationship and that’s why Jared know it can work. Quade and Jared have always known that they wanted to share the right woman. One day when at the diner in town, they see the woman of their dreams, Lexie. Now they just have to convince the scared, abused woman to trust men again, especially big, hunky strangers. To be honest, I felt that the story moved a little fast, but the characters were well developed and I cared about them. The sex scenes were hot and if you are looking for a quick, titillating, ménage read, this books for you!

The heroine is being abused and the two heroes have had enough of it, they want to help her before its too late. When the heroine is beaten so bad one night she is almost placed into a coma, the two heroes find her and take her home. As they explore their new relationship many things change for our heroine, including the fact that she isn't an abuse victim anymore. Eventually they get married and her abusive ex is sent to prison for five years. It was an okay book but I didn't care for much of the abuse scenes or anything like that similar. The only thing that made it likable was the fact the two heroes were there for her and never gave up. The heroine was pretty pathetic all throughout the book. She should of gotten herself a backbone.

This little book was a little piece of chocolate just enough for a mouthful. Just like chocolates you can't get enough, but too much and you feel a bit sick. This is the first in this series and I like what I have read so far. Don't let the fact they are short fool you there are deep interesting characters that pull you in and make you love them but a word to the wise read with a fire extinguisher handy you will need it that and maybe a change of your unmentionables, I look forward to reading more I think I might be going to overload on these yummy little treats.

To be honest, I was bored with this story. I pretty much skimmed the sex scenes, and for some reason, Quade's endearment of "baby girl" really got on my nerves. The most succinct thing I can say is that this book was just too bland for me.
