I like this one better than the first one! The characters are even more realistic than in the first book plus their situation is interesting. The Spirit Week days are still front and center and the kills are pretty good. I told myself if I liked the 2nd book I'd go ahead and read the 3rd installment, and I think I'm going to do just that. These are cheap, entertaining reads, almost like Penny Dreadfuls from the old days in England. Didn't they used to have cheap thrills called Penny Dreadfuls? Really cheap but fun horror novels? Yeah, these are kind of like throwbacks to that I think. Idk.

TOTAL FAVORITE!!!! I loooooved the plot and the idea a LOT. There are some characters returning from the first book but mostly new characters. I understand this because basically, I think that even though the characters are interesting and I cared for them, I get it that they aren't the focal point of the stories, it's the actual Spirit Week days & subsequent killings that are front and center in this series. Kind of like in the SAW movies where it's the contraptions that are the stars of the movies, not the victims so much. That's just my opinion, though.
