A short read, won't give you a time to take a breather and I loved it for that factor.I`d be lying my A* out if I say that Dean didn't affected me the way he does Abby ;)Dean WoodallHandsome, Attractive, Tall, High Cheekbones, Sexiest Cocky Grin ,Muscular, Tanned with dark hair, Pale eyes, Swimmer, Olympic Gold Medalist.[image error]AbigailCute, Brunette, Reasonably Attractive, Happens to have one hell`ya Smart Mouth, In Short Dean explained her personality pretty much in just one simple line "Abby is a really cute girl. More of a Mary Ann than a Ginger, but I’ve always had a thing for Mary Ann."I really enjoyed Wicked Games. There are some very amusing moments when Abby is first dropped off at the island. Abby isn’t as pretty or as athletic as many of the other women, so she isn’t picked until last – and the uber sexy Dean is stuck with her. She is physically a bit more awkward than the other contestants but she has a good mind, something Dean learns quick. But at first they don’t get along and their first challenge together becomes very humorous. As her and Dean spend more time together, they both start to feel an attraction. But both of them are nervous to make a first move. Plus being covered in sand, bug bites, and no shower for days doesn’t always lead to the most romantic of times. Of course they do share a blanket in a very small shelter…... *coughs.. spooning.... coughs....* AND THAT CABIN THEY`D SHARED FOR REWARD!!!That Shower moment was....................*fanning my face*GUYS!!!! THERE`RE SNEAKING CAMERAMANS AND WIRED CAMERAS!!!have you forgot about being on a reality SHOW???well, that can happen to anyone if they`er like Abby and Dean and just can't keep their hands off of eachother.

Thank you so much, Sarah, for recommending this to me. This book was an absolute winner.Fun, sexy and romantic, with a delicious alpha hero and a strong, funny heroine. I loved the survival aspects as much as I did the romance, the banter and the Reality TV show elements. This is a quick and entertaining read that managed to pull me out of yet another epic book funk.

LOVED IT!!! I kinda like read new books nowadays, but then I was looking for something interesting to read last night, and this book caught my attention. Well, maybe the cover, because I had the old version where the cover was the same couple on Obsidian's.And so I read it, and I can't put it down! Wow, it was such aFUNread!!! It feels like I'm watching survivor. I love Abby and Dean!!! Especially Abby 'cause she's feisty! And I love it that somewhat, the readers also get to read Dean's POVs through his interviews.Overall, this was a cute, sweet, fun, sexy, and romantic read ;)

HILARIOUS!I picked up Wicked Games as more of a joke book. I needed something to fill some time and I really didn’t care what it was. With that said, the first 35% of this book had me laughing so hard, that the people around me became annoyed. Bully for them! There will be several highlights from the book in this review. All worthy, I assure you This is an erotica / romance book that has plowed head first into a series of Survivor. Now, I’m not a big fan of that show. I don’t like politics. I don’t like manipulation. I just don’t like any of it. So, when I realized what this book was going to be about, I totally frowned. If I open a book, I must finish. So I’m frowning and whining to myself, when I find myself laughing hysterically.I have read a lot of books (Shocker, right?), this one took my by surprise. I expected dirty, sandy sex. I expected anger and resentment. I expected the politics and manipulation. What I didn’t expect, was the comedy. Anger, lust, romance, deception, sex .. All wrapped into one beautifully packaged story.Dean:You know, it’s funny. All the other girls on the island look like they’d love to spend a few days alone with me. Abby looks at me as if she’d like to take my axe and gut me like a fish. Weirdest chick I’ve ever met. Decent swimmer, though. Let’s hope she doesn’t totally blow it during the challenges. — Dean Woodall, Day 2.One of the first challenges between the teams (Teams made up of two), was for Abby and Dean to work together to paint some flags. One person blind folded. The other instructing. That went over real well. Heh not. Take a few days of frustrating scowling and toss them into a clueless leading the blind challenge. What do you get? Tears of laughter!“I can’t draw if you don’t tell me–” “ABBY, DRAW,” Dean shouted, blasting my ears. “PICK RED AND DRAW. QUIT ASKING SO MANY QUESTIONS AND JUST DRAW.” I threw down my brush, grabbed the closest pot of paint, and lobbed it over the table at my partner. I didn’t hear it connect, so I grabbed the next one, and the next one, and heard the satisfying thwacks as they hit Dean (I hoped).I ripped off my blindfold and glared at my partner. Mister Perfect Jock was covered in yellow and red paint – quickly dripping to orange. A streak of blue covered half the table and our flag looked as if the paint had thrown up on it. He was glaring at me with utter disgust.“If you yell at me again,” I screamed back, “I’m going to shove that fucking brush down your throat. Understand?” (Abby)I have some other highlights, but they fall a little too much into the spoiler category! So not happening. I love this book. I do. I recommend this book to ADULTS ONLY. There is little to no violence (With few lovely paint scenes heh). The sexual content is tasty moderate.I have a “Line of the Book” highlighted, but I don’t want to post it. It’s beautiful and totally rocking awesome! It is a spoiler and I just can’t do that to you.~Happy reading!

I'm a bit surprised with how much I liked this book, but from early on it sucked me in. It's the book version of Survivor and as with reality TV programs, they work better if there's a bit of love/lust thrown into the mix. The love/hate relationship Abby and Dean started with was a little over the top to start with but so funny. I liked her right from the start; she didn't care what anyone else thought of her, she just went for it and the pair of them worked really well together. Add into that all the sexual tension and the little snippets you get from Dean at the beginning of each chapter - it just all worked for me. Even that bit of drama towards the end, I didn't mind. Loved it

Definitely good for romance.I enjoyed the initial “don’t like each other” parts. And I really liked seeing them together. Yes this has the formulaic big misunderstanding/separation. But that was ok. It’s hard for authors to come up with ways to separate the couple. This story was different in that they were on a game show and at times the producers of the show would not let people talk to each other.I’m not a fan of first person books, but this one was good. It was told from Abby’s point of view. But at the beginning of most chapters there were a couple of sentences showing Dean’s thoughts. I liked that. It gave us a little insight into his thinking. But it didn’t have the jarring effect of entire chapters in a different POV and the reader has to remember who is talking, who is “I.”DATA:Narrative mode: 1st person Abby with chapter introductions 1st person Dean. Story length: 172 pages. Swearing language: strong, including religious swear words but not often used. Sexual language: strong. Number of sex scenes: about 4. Setting: current day mostly on an island. Copyright: 2011. Genre: contemporary romance.

Never having enjoyed 'Survivor'-type reality TV, I was surprised to find that I really liked this little story about two rival (and antagonistic) contestants paired up on Survivor"Endurance Island". The book is written from heroine Abby's POV, although we are treated to brief glimpses of Dean's perspective from his personal diary at the beginning of most chapters. While "stranded" in the Cook Islands, all contestants are boy-girl partnered initially and Dean and Abby - after a rocky first encounter - get stuck with one another. At first they seem like quite an unlikely pair (to everyone!) - Dean is the hottest, most athletic guy on the Island, and Abby is bookish, not overly athletic or "hot" (although she is "reasonably attractive"). After several confrontations, however, they do learn to rely on one another whilst playing "the game" (alliances, keeping up appearances, etc) and... of course fall in love. Wicked Games pretty much unfolds as you expect it will, but this also makes the romance more realistic and I wouldn't have enjoyed it any other way. All's fair in love and war!

This must be confession week. First, I readily admit to hating weddings. Second, I confess that I have never, ever, in all of my days, watched Survivor. It seems dumb, dorky, and totally contrived. I bought Wicked Games on a Twitter recommendation, and when I realized it was a Survivor-type contemporary romance, got pissed off. Well.....in a moment of boredom, I decided to give it a go. And I loved it, in spite of its reality-television-based premise. I am quickly becoming a Jill Myles fan. This was a fun, quick read, filled with sexy island time and a totally satisfying romantic ending. I still have no interest in watching Survivor, but this book was probably way more entertaining. I think I will try one of Ms. Myles' paranormal romances next....maybe Gentlemen Prefer Succubi?Grade: A-

"Welcome to Endurance Island! We are here in the famous Cook Islands, home to piracy and private, sandy beaches. This will be your home for the next six weeks, provided you can withstand all the challenges that Endurance Island has in store for you!"So, I'm going to make this short and sweet, lol. This was a very unexpected read. I grabbed it up as a freebie and one night needed something to read quick before my next buddy read started the next day. It reads really fast but kept me hanging on every word. Abby was placed into a reality show she didn't want to be in with a partner she didn't want to be with on Endurance Island. At first everything is awful, as I mentioned her partner, the island, the lack of EVERYTHING, all the people on the island with her...EVERYTHING. Then when Abby and Dean realize they have to work together in order to get anywhere, things starting changing immediately. It's only 100 pages so you know I can't spill more than that or I'd ruin it, but let's just say enemies turn into partners, turn into friends, turn into lovers, one big misunderstanding and then.... I'll leave the rest for you to figure out. :) "Hush, woman. I'm busy renewing my alliance with my teammate. I need to win her over if I want her to vote for me."

It was short, funny and quick read. I think, the book needs an extended ending or a epoilogue. It finished abruptly.Overall, it is a light read if you have little time and need some funny book.

3.5 starsConsidering this book is only 200 over pages and the blurb pretty much says it all, I'm going to keep this short and simply. This is quite a short, fun and sexy read about Abby, a book reviewer, who reluctantly joined the Survivor reality game show and got team up with Dean Woodall, the competitive golden boy, who wants to win at all cost. Of course, things doesn't always appear as it seem. They both started off on the wrong footing and unable to cooperate, but later on formed an understanding and a solid partnership. However, the underhand allegiance with other contestants threaten they trust towards each other that further leads to some misunderstanding. This was told entirely from Abby's POV, but I like that on the beginning of every chapter, we have a paragraph of Dean's POV as well. He had his soft side apart from appearing as the arrogant, cocky guy who thinks he is the best out there. Anyway, this is a pretty light read that is not overall romantic or dramatic and didn't get me all emotionally engage, but is fun and we got a little sexy times. The epilogue give us a nice HEA, but is too damn short. I wonder does Book 2 still features Abby and Dean in it.

4.5 stars. I liked this!! Liked it MUCH more than expected. A fun read, and an interesting tale about the intense competition seen in a reality TV show based on surviving on an island. It's fairly erotic, but towards the end it gets poignant, too.

3.5 StarsNARRATOR: Stephanie RobinsonThis was an okay audiobook. I mean I did not really love it, but I did not hate it. I actually clicked BUY by accident and then thought "forget it, I will just listen to it" when I thought of contacting customer service to get a refund. The story started out good, then was okay, but the last few chapters were really good. I have read other books by Jessica Claire "Jill Myles" and liked them so I thought I would take a chance. If you watch or have watched Survivor, this is a romantic take on the reality show. The narrator did a decent job. She did Dean and other character voices very well. However, the heroine, Abby, is originally supposed to be from Texas (then she moves to DC for her job), but the heroine sounds like she has an accent...Minnesota maybe. The way Stephanie Robinson said or had an accent on the following words "again, been, out, obliged, mouth" it took me a little time to get used to. I want to stress that it was not bad, it is just that it took a little time to get used to her voice. Also, the sound quality was poor. I don't think that helped the narrator.I love the way the author added the hero's POV. It was his camera interview. They usually were a a few sentences with his thoughts before each chapter.

at first i really hated the idea of the story. reality tv in a damn book! ugh! i hate reality tv and didnt want that kind of trash in my book. i want "trash" in the dirty way and not as in cheap and stupid way that make people hungry for money and fame.I was pleasantly surprised and so glad I decided to read on. Abby and Dean had the perfect chemistry, on and off camera. Dean was physically fit and Abby was the brainy one. It started off really rocky. Neither of them were happy about their partnership but their hostility ignited into something hot and sensual. Jill Myles is becoming one of my fav authors. Keep up the good work Ms Myles =)

This was so much fun to read!!! A light (but still very captivating) story that is extremely relevant to what is currently happening with reality tv. It seemed like it was pulled straight from Survivor, or quite frankly any of the crazy shows that are so popular with the tv-watching public, minus all the extremely annoying characters and pesky commercials. ;)I loved Abby! I loved Dean! I loved every minute of it! A perfect beach read or great for those times when you are needing a break from dark or heavy subject matter.

The storyline isn't something I've read before and I was hesitant going in, but omg I had such a freaking good time reading it. It is fast paced and keeps you on your toes the whole book. The game show Endurance Island (think Survivor) needs a boost in its second season ratings, and when a female contestant drops out before the competition starts, the executive producer calls upon Abby.Abby works for MediaWeek magazine, and her boss asks her to drop everything and join this crazy show so she can give an insider’s take on what it is like to participate on Endurance Island. If she does this, they will offer her a book deal in return for Abby’s secrecy and some exclusive articles for the magazine. Unable to pass up this opportunity, Abby soon finds herself on a plane to a tropical island. After being unceremoniously dropped into the ocean and trampled on by the other contestants desperate to win a prize, Abby realizes this might not be so much fun. She gets paired up with Dean, a very attractive, athletic man. They pretty much hate each other from the start, but they must learn to work together to find food, water, and win competitions so they don’t get voted off the island and they have a chance to win two million dollars.I really enjoyed Wicked Games. Told in the point of view of Abby, there are some very amusing moments when Abby is first dropped off at the island. Abby isn’t as pretty or as athletic as many of the other women, so she isn’t picked until last – and the uber sexy Dean is stuck with her. She is physically a bit more awkward than the other contestants but she has a good mind, something Dean learns quick. But at first they don’t get along and their first challenge together becomes very humorous.Abby comes across as smart, and even though it wasn’t her idea to do the show, she does dive into it with the intent to win. As her and Dean spend more time together, they both start to feel an attraction. But both of them are nervous to make a first move. Plus being covered in sand, bug bites, and no shower for days doesn’t always lead to the most romantic of times. Of course they do share a blanket in a very small shelter….Jill Myles books always have a sense of humor and some silly moments. After Abby wins a certain prize, she refuses to leave anything behind:….my bra stuffed with pancakes and a makeshift napkin-padded baggy of cold sausage and cheeses down the front of my bikini bottom. It was kind of disgusting if you sat and thought about it, but when you were starving, you did what you had to do – and that included sneaking food back to the island in your panties. The romance becomes hot and we get lots of island sexin’ times. I enjoyed the conflict at the end and thought it fit in really well with the book. If you like the show Survivor, you will really enjoy the setting in this one. More of a novella length, and definitely worth a read.Rating: B

Every so often DA or SBTB recommend a book that's currently free or cheap and I pick it up, whereupon it sits on my Kindle until I need some light reading. Last night I needed light reading (wasn't well, couldn't sleep) so I read this. It's kinda fun. Romance on a 'Survivor' type setting. There was stuff I liked and stuff I didn't.Stuff I liked:The main characters were pretty cool, and I liked them both. There was quite a lot of plot (in terms of the way the game played out) and character development (not just the two leads), so it wasn't just snogging and bonking in the sand (although there was a bit of that). When they had sex they had fun and had a giggle and a lark about I rather liked that.Stuff I didn't:The relationship arc was the cliched one that most bothers me (couple meet, like each other, have a big misunderstanding during which one is almost desperate to believe the worst of the other, no benefit of the doubt is entertained, no attempt at proper communication made, and then it all gets sorted out and it's all fine.)I really, really don't like it when a couple don't communicate properly or trust each other and this is somehow presented as 'a normal relationship'. I would be so hurt if someone I was involved with trusted me so little, and it would probably be a deal breaker. But that aside, it's a nice little book.

OMG THIS BOOK WAS FANTASTIC!!! How did I not find this book before? And I actually pulled an all nighter for this book and I'm so glad I did!!! This book was fantastic because with this book you have an interesting plot (which reminds you alittle of the Hunger Games, but trust me it's NOT a repeat) this book has romance (and booooyyyy was it sexy and steamy!!!! You just sworn and sigh, this book has some characters wow!!! Now you know that when your in a competition for 2 million dollars, to always be observive. And I mean Always! Yes there is a downer in this book like every other story, but it has a satisfying ending :) I know that this book probably has low ratings because the games kind of remind you of the hunger games but trust me the challenges are different, and another person wins instead of the MC. Also, the romance development was alittle rushed, because falling in love in 3 weeks? I mean madly? That's not even possible in this world today in my opinion :P (but it's 150 Pgs, give the author so I'm not really :p about it so I'm giving her some credit)Aaaaaaand this book needed a longer epilogue. I mean yes it was expected, but really? Only a page for epilogue! :P The point is, this book was fantastic, i am insanely in love with that cover, and I am falling asleep while writing this review so good night! :D

Reviewed by EmmaRae I got sucked into this book waiting at the doctor’s office... then got mad when the nurse called my name. I was fine when the nurse and doctor said “be right back” because I could read a few more paragraphs. Instead of studying, I came home and went right back to this book until it was over. There’s not much I can say about this little novella, just READ IT!The Reality TV show thing has been done many times before. This is the first time I’ve enjoyed it. The characters bait each other so well! You got into Abby’s head right in the beginning, and she’s just such a likeable, realistic character. I loved her attitude about herself when she’s stuck there with more beautiful women—not whining or complaining about her body, but proud of what she has.I absolutely adored the author’s writing! It was so fast paced I couldn’t believe it when I realized I’d finished it so fast. Dean is Enemy Number 1 from the first meeting, and it just builds on that first comedic scene. I do loathe reality shows in real life, but I enjoyed the challenges and competition throughout the game. This book is a very fast read, and it’s the perfect thing when you need something to cheer you up and make you smile. You’ll smile for the rest of the day!
